Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through โ€” a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Everyone was really wonderful and kind and helpful and considerate. From the young lady checking me in at the front desk and all of the nurses and the anesthetist and the doctor were all excellent. Everyone was really wonderful. They make a procedure professional and comfortable, and you know your in good hands with everyone there.

I so enjoyed my time at this facility! From the early start in the morning, the young nurse who opened the door was friendly and courteous. Next followed a lovely woman who welcomed everyone in, and did so cheerfully! The check in nurse was nice as well. (I wish I had their names). Next I was prepped by Stephanie, who was very nice. Then along came Katie, who was very personable. Next Mitzi, the anesthesiologist, very nice too! And at last Dr T! His manner has always been one I really appreciate! Thank you Doctor, and your entire staff!!!

The staff was very friendly and talked you through every step. Went above and beyond to ensure the patients comfort, both mentally and physically. There was a little wait time from appointment time to start of procedure but once it got going it was over very quickly. I am highly satisfied with the way I was treated and the level of care I received.

My 1st visit customer service was great from the triage to the check out. Staff at the back office made you feel very comfortable. The provider was detailed in giving me information and what to expect. The 2nd visit was even better. The receptionist at 7am greeted me with a smile. My wait time in waiting room was about 20-25 minutes which was not bad. The nursing staff was great being informative of my procedure. The professionalism of nursing staff experience was awesome from the beginning to the end. Thank you all for the Great Customer Service I received.
