Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Jonathan Katz MD is an excellent physician with great personal patient manner. Having problems with trigger finger pain, Dr. Katz explained the present procedure I was having and also a future procedure that would permanently alleviate future problems with trigger finger. I highly recommend this practice for all orthopedic needs.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Jesse Seidman when I consulted him for wrist pain. He was extremely polite, thorough, and highly professional throughout the entire visit. Dr. Seidman took the time to listen, explained everything clearly, and made sure all of my questions were answered, which immediately put me at ease. I would always highly recommend Dr. Jesse Seidman and his practice to anyone in need of an exceptional orthopedic surgeon and care team. Truly a top-notch experience from start to finish

I have seen both Dr. Katz and Dr. Seidman and they are both personable and thorough, My husband has also seen Dr. Seidman, who did surgery on his knee. They have an operating room attached to their office, so it is basically a one stop experience. All the staff have been very pleasant too. I would definitely recommend this office.
