I had to have an epidural and I was in and out within 2-3 hours... The staff and nurse's were nice...
This was my first visit with Dr. Goins. He is indeed professional and pleasant. I immediately trusted his diagnosis and I will follow the treatment plans he suggested for my care. The staff at Resurgens Fayette Surgery Center are outstanding and kind.
My care at resurgence for the last 2 years, has included. Dr.Jack Pines. It has been a pleasure and a great confidence in all that he done, his professionalism , he's compassionate for his patients.and I appreciate that I'm thankful for Resurgence, helping me to recover from a terrible accident.and the staff made me feel like I was special and important and that they cared
I was referred to Dr. Maurice Goins by my PCP for lower back pain due to Arthritis. My PCP advised that she couldn't give me a shot and I guess that's the reason for the referral. I knew my situation didn't cause for a surgeon but I usually let my Dr's advise what's best. I have been having back pain for about 10 months. It has gotten worse over the past month and the pain was unbareble to the point I could barely bend to.put pants or even shoes on which is what I explained to the Nurse to put in her notes and I expressed the same to Dr. Goins. Xrays where done and Dr. Goins came in to see me afterwards to give me the results and advice. The visit was so routine and fast I actually felt like he had no sense of compassion not even to ask how much pain I was currently having and how was it affecting my day to day. I was in soooo much pain over the 10 threshold. I atleast thought he would give me a shot for relief. He stated ohhh the xrays just show a lil Arthritis. I stated sure feels like it could be more than Arthritis because of the level of pain I'm in. He gave me a referral for therapy and a Rx for ibuprofen and sent me on my way. I truly feel like it was a waist of time and money. I wish my PCP would have just referred me directly to physical therapy herself. I already was taking muscle relaxers, ibuprofen and my pcp prescribed pain meds the day before my appointment which still wasn't giving but a lil relief. I guess I should have went to the ER instead. I wouldn't refer Dr. Goins to anyone. Maybe he has care and compassion for other patients but I surely didn't get that type of care. By evening that day I was in so much I was in tears most of the night. Debated whether to go to the ER but decided not too, I was just so disappointed and discouraged that the hospital probably would have done the same. PT appointment is in 2 weeks God keep me until then.
My special care team at resurgence for the last 6 years, has included. Dr. Goins Dr. Peter Harvey and Dr. Jack Pines. It has been a pleasure and I have great confidence in all 3 doctors. My experience with Doctor Goins is that he's professional, he's compassionate and he listens and I appreciate that I'm thankful for Resurgence, helping me to recover from a terrible accident. They made me feel like I'm special, I'm important and that how I feel matters.
