Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

Procedure list is based on CMS-reported specialty designations. Contact the facility to confirm specific procedures offered.

My Mother, sister and self have all used Dr Takle was great and we had excellent experiences. I recommend my husband and he’s had a terrible experience with actual getting his glasses and follow up because he new $2000.00 worth of glasses (3 pair) Are all blurry. It took more than 2 weeks to get his new glasses. After wearing them for a day he called because he knew they were not right. Finally after a few calls to the office the finally made him an appointment. Waited in waiting room a long time then shuffled from room to room in back. Still waiting for Doctor to correct lenses.?? I don’t appreciate anyone taking our time for granted. This should have been a quick simple fix that’s turned into way too much waiting!! So disappointed!!

My Grandma had her cataract surgery done here. He was recommended to her by her optometrist. Dr. tackle is great and made her feel comfortable. The wait time in the waiting room is a little long, but once you get back there you are in good hands. I would recommend anybody who needs cataract surgery to him.

DO NOT GO HERE !!!! Every one of the staff that works here is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I have waited 3 1/2 weeks for my lens to come in. everytime I call about it I wait 45 minutes on hold to speak to one person , that transfers me to optics. the optics person is beyond rude I can’t even get a sentence out when speaking they love to interrupt you. today I snapped it’s my 7th time calling and being interrupted after waiting 45 minutes on hold. I said on the phone stop interrupting me let me speak and she goes on to call me rude and keeps interrupting me. So I hang up and she calls back to tell me how rude im being while still interrupting me and then hangs up on me. I’m done im so sick of incompetence and how they treat people I will be gladly taking my business somewhere else as soon as my glasses come in , in another 2 weeks probably. If I could put zero stars I would. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE !

They wrote down the wrong eye that had been operated on my mom. Their customer service is terrible. It took two weeks for someone to return our calls to get one of my mom's surgeries rescheduled. I waited two hours in their waiting room for a "quick" post-surgery checkup. We later learned from talking to other patients that the 2+ hour wait was because they had scheduled all of their followups for the same time window, which I guess works great for the doctor, but is incredibly disrespectful of his customers' time

Great Eye Center. Dr. Takle and the entire staff are outstanding. They're miracle workers!! The office runs smoothly with a very capable group of professionals. My husband had eye surgery at the Takle Eye Group. Everything went well, and he is very pleased. I highly recommend Takle Eye Group.
