I was overwhelmed by the compassionate care, guidance and support I received from the staff at Hemlock Pain Center. I am grateful for the entire team.
These Doctors are the best at what they do, Dr Tafor is the best I’ve ever experienced when having an injection for pain, he knows exactly where to inject the medication to help with the area where the pain is and my injections have eased my pain for 2 years in many cases. Thank you Hemlock Pain Center!
This outfit really needs to get it together. I knew they had horrible reviews, but gave them a chance because there was a wait at the other pain clinic. The staff is super nice , however, nothing gets done. You literally have to call two or three times to get your medication if you see the Nurse Practitioner. This happened on more than one occasion. The billing department stinks. I have been going there for four months and had one questionable charge I called about several times. No response. I went ahead and paid it. Another charge popped up although I hadn’t had any procedures done. I called Theresa in billing again, still no response. The receptionist sent her a note. Still, no response. I’ve had it with this place. This is not the only outfit in town. From here on out I will heed reviews, there’s a reason people write them.
I brought my medically complex disabled child here and regret subjecting my child to this doctor. The doctor said my child's autism "must be mild" and also asked how long "has that been going on" referring to him being transgender. Not only are both of these topics irrelevant to care, but his antiquated and inappropriate rhetoric about both subjects is disturbing from a medical professional. After answering his mostly irrelevant questions, the doctor told us he cannot treat pain without a diagnosis (we are waiting for genomic sequencing results, but why hurt now when there are treatments and medications that may help). I'll be looking into a more formal way to voice my concerns .
On your first appointment the staff is excellent. They take the time to go over everything. BUT, after your first year you are no longer important to them as they are only interested in the new clients. Whatever you do don't see the doctors. The nurse practitioner is the better way to go. They are horrible. You will wait at least an hour to see them and you get exactly five minutes with them. They don't follow through with your medicine and leaving messages for them gets you no response. If you want to be treated fairly, go with a different pain center.
