Excellent experience! This is my second endoscopy (1st in 2022). Dr Sonenshine is great.

Not able to reach a human being until mid day, after being scheduled for a 9:30am (8:30 arrival) colonoscopy. The phone would not transfer to procedure facility. I was very upset as I was not able to finish the final prep middle of night, second prep. Nobody called to check on me for not showing up for a scheduled procedure. When I finally did get through mid afternoon (as the phone keeps you in a loop that you get nobody there) no empathy or care with regards to all I endured was given. The week prep was grueling and not being able to finish the drink prior to procedure was very upsetting to say the least. Compassionate personnel is needed here. Readily available contact with individuals who care. Very upset and in disbelief.

Dr. Nesmith is excellent at doing colonoscopies and endoscopies; procedures are done quickly and thoroughly and all the nurses/staff/anesthesiologist are caring, professional and friendly!

Update: I wrote to the practice commenting about the care I received. I received a reply from the provider which stated, in short, We are sorry you received poor care. There are other providers in the area and you should visit one of them to continue your care. This indicates a complete lack of concern related to quality of care or quality improvement. I would suggest NO patient ever visit this facility. What I noted initially about the NURSING side of the case remains true. It was very good. My update only references the physician side of the case, and that's the reason anyone would come here. /***********************************************************/ I first need to make it clear that the nursing side of the practice here is excellent. But, I would expect that from nursing professionals. They were all awesome. For the rest of it, I was not impressed, at all, and that's sad because I went here before it seems like this place became part of a larger organization, and care has suffered. I suspect that if you were a relatively uncomplicated patient, say 60 year old male, maybe 15 pounds overweight, maybe mild hypertension, but no other really interesting medical issues, you'd be fine to go here. The staff is fine. However, if you have complicated medical issues, do NOT go here. Except for the nursing staff, including the CRNA, the process did not work well for me. There was a complete lack of communications, the initial phone interview person insisted that I not take critical medications for three days, the scheduling people were hard to reach, the physician missed important concepts related to my underlying medical conditions and the followup call left a phone extension that goes nowhere. As I said, if you are an uncomplicated patient, you would probably be fine here. I will not return.

To say that this practice is unprofessional would be the understatement of the year. I spent 3 hours trying to book an appointment on the phone. Average 35 minutes per call, everytime someone answers after the long wait, they inform you that you have arrived at the wrong destination, which they put you right back into the que of 35+ minute wait to "attempt" to end up with an employee capable of booking an appointment. If you cannot answer a phone professionally, you have ZERO business performing surgery on people.
