My husband has been in constant pain with his lower back for well over 10 years. Over the past year, we had seen two neurosurgeons in the valley to address the pain radiating down his legs and in his groin. They both said ‘no’ to surgery but when I asked if she should be on opioids the rest of his life, they said ‘no’ to that as well---where does that leave someone that hurts? On a whim, I found The Pain Center and Dr. Thompson online. Yes, some of the reviews are bad but we took a chance and I’m glad we did. Dr. Thompson had suggested an interspinous spacer (Minuteman) to give his nerves some room (degenerative disc disease). Of course, we researched it a lot and reached back out to the local neurosurgeon we saw (that performs it as well) to ask his opinion. We received a voicemail back stating that it would take a simple phone call to determine if the Minuteman would help him. That perplexed me because they should’ve already known that when we were there for a consult. Anyway, after a few months of tests/imaging, my husband received the procedure. The first week was about the same, pain-wise. Second week, he’s already feeling MUCH better. His pain level went from a 7 to a 3 and the 3 isn’t necessarily pain, but uncomfortable. The gals in the Caldwell and Boise Surgical Center are great and Dr. Thompson is a joy to work with. I’m happy she gave my husband a chance at some years of being pain-free.
I've had several procedures regarding my spinal cord stimulator here with Dr Thompson and her staff. They are incredibly nice and professional. I am always well looked after and have fun talking with everyone. Dr Thompson has done most of my spinal cord stimulator surgeries and I can't recommend her enough!
Everyone here is wonderful! Dr. Thompson is quick and efficient. I was a little scared going in as it was my first time getting an injection, but they had me in and out, no problems at all!
The staff is incredible I love these ladies! They have taken good care of me for the last 25 visits LOL see you tomorrow ladies. The wait sometimes can be horrendous but they have been working on fixing this problem.
Had to wait to long
