The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The pre- and post-procedure communication is excellent. Dr. Mettu is very thorough and has genuine, caring interpersonal skills. I highly recommend Midwest Endoscopy and Dr. Mettu.

Dr. Mettu and his staff were very professional and made me feel comfortable before the colonoscopy and after the procedure was completed. The results of the scope were explained to me thoroughly without rushing me and answered all my questions. Dr. Mettu even offered to call and discuss the results with my son who is also a GI. This was the five-year repeat colonoscopy and Dr. Mettu’s office kept track of when the procedure was due and contacted me to make the arrangements to fit my schedule. Very pleased with the service received and the level of care! Thank you…..

I cannot say enough about Dr. Mettu and the staff at Midwest Endoscopy. Dr. Mettu is exceptional. He is patient, listens carefully, explains everything thoroughly, solicits questions, and discusses pros and cons. When my GP recommended that I get off a medication that Dr. Mettu had described, he took time to walk me through the research and why he had made his recommendation. He is encouraging about making lifestyle changes, approaching the conversation like a coach vs. tsk tsking like some medical professionals do. I've had 3 procedures at Midwest Endoscopy and have felt cared for, supported, and respected at all appointments. They are organized, responsive, and very clear in their communication. You know well in advance what will happen and what you need to do to be prepared - including having someone with you at the appointment to ensure that you're in safe hands when you leave the facility. Bottom line: Although it would be preferable not to need a GI specialist and procedures, if you do need them, I highly recommend Dr. Mettu and Midwest Endoscopy Center.

I’ve visited Midwest Endoscopy several times now over the years, and it is the consistently high degree of professionalism that really stands out. Patient safety is an absolute top priority. Dr. Mettu is a great communicator and the staff there is well-trained and efficient. You can tell it really is important to them that all of your questions are answered, and they take all the time necessary. I can’t imagine a better doc than Dr. Mettu.

Even writing this review, I still cannot believe that a doctor's office treats patients like this. I never write reviews, but all should listen. I arrived for my procedure and gave the staff all necessary information. I gave them my ride's name, who is a friend, 10 minutes away. I was told on the phone that she can pick me up, as long as she was 15 minutes away. She was unable to drive me there, but she was going to pick me up after procedure. I was accused of lying about my ride and they needed to see her face. To say I was taken aback is an understatement. They then demanded that she come to the office; if I didn't show her face, they were canceling this appointment. Then they wanted to know how I got there. I literally thought this was a joke. This is how they treat patients? As we all know the prep is horrendous and to now have to do it again is going to be brutal. But all should be leary of the staff. The audacity of them to treat patients like this is beyond me. When I emailed doctor to inform him of what transpired, he said that he'd talk to his staff and that I could come back. No way!! This staff is horrendous, rude, and unprofessional. I'll search for another doctor whose staff doesn't treat patients in this manner!
