I had a colonoscopy with MD Shah in April of 2024 and was left with extremely horrible abdominal pain and and severe blood loss to the point of having to be hospitalized and almost having to have my colon removed. I have since then transferred care to the Department of Veterans Affairs. I would avoid this medical practice at all costs.
I had a great experience with all the staff here. It was so easy to schedule. The nurse was very helpful explaining pre op instructions. Check in was easy. All the nurses were friendly and efficient. I have been putting off my colonoscopy for 2 years because I was nervous about the procedure. The GA was great, no embarrassment, quick and easy. Dr. Harrison did my colonoscopy. No issues afterwards. Got my results next day. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
The staff here is incredible! They are so attentive to your needs and make your visit feel as comfortable as possible. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Nurse Jenny before my upper endoscopy. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and was very thorough with details about the procedure, answering my questions thoughtfully. The procedure room nurses were also incredible at reassuring me before the procedure. The clinic itself is very clean and not outdated. I would definitely go here again for future GI needs.
I’ve been to Dr. Shah and the Community Endoscopy Center 3 times now. Most of the time your are with the Doctor you are asleep, but I trust him. The pre-procedure and procedure nurses really shined. When you have to interact with the healthcare system, it can be scary. I’m pretty comfortable and knowledgeable of what’s happening, but nurses who are genuine, caring, informative (telling you what they are doing or what you can expect), respectful (I’m going to lift your arm, is that OK?), and professional make the difference. All of the nurses involved in my care were exceptional. The only part I did not like is my check-in. Check-in does not feel private, and a lot of personal information is confirmed with a lobby full of people present to overhear. A lot of this could be confirmed by showing me the information in writing, or by having me fill-in the in-take form instead of the desk person doing this all out-loud. It also seemed like the desk person may have had trouble hearing me, so much of the personal information had to be repeated. Please fix this as this seems to show up in multiple reviews.
I can't recommend this center enough. I've had an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy on separate occasions and both went incredibly smoothly. Staff are calm, friendly, professional, and capable.
