Pt scheduling is very difficult and time consuming. Avgerage wait times are 45 minutes and a scheduler didn't call back as promised. Some nurses are very competent and caring. Others are not knowledgeable and assume without wanting to ask your physician about the prep products. The prep products work differently on each patient. Communication could be improved by the team and compassion towards the patient. My biggest issue is that Kevin, pre-op nurse who called me prior to the procedure, told me I could eat a light breakfast prior to my procedure since it was scheduled late in the day. This is a big NO, NO! Pt could aspirate during the procedure. Fortunately, having a nursing background I knew better and didn't do as he said. Hopefully, this won't happen to another patient in the future. Still waiting to hear back from the nurse supervisor for this unit.....

Had it not been for Dr. William Kessler I could be in bad condition right now. He took care of me and did what needed to be done and I now have a clean bill of health. I want to shout out to nurses Erin, Michelle, and Novie and Dr Rex. Each of Erin, Michelle, and Novie went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable. I decided to go ahead with my GI screening procedure despite my arm in a cast. These ladies found me extra pillows for my arm, kept my company while they worked and generally made me feel cared for and welcome. I avoid sedation so I had a chance to meet each of these 3 ladies during my visit. You made it as enjoyable as such things can be! Dr Rex continues to be my GI doctor of choice- talked me through the procedure and what we were seeing. Thank you thank you thank you!
