The team and Dr Mark Smith were amazing at Metro Specialty Surgery Center. From the moment I checked in till the time I was discharged, the care was top tier. The nurses were informative and friendly and took a genuine interest in listening to me. The explanation of procedures for the day was thorough. I felt supported and safe in this environment. Thank you Dr Smith and team for being the catalyst in my healing journey. 10/10 would recommend!!

I’ll start by saying the staff were all very kind and caring. They get 5 stars! The facility was clean and very nice. Also 5 stars! The lower rating I’m giving is for whoever makes the policy to keep patients isolated and alone! I was scared and having a rather painful procedure done and asked for my husband and was told it was against policy and not allowed. The nurse was kind and apologetic but none the less…my husband was not allowed back before my surgery until I was so sedated I don’t even remember him being with me. He told me was there. I just have no memory of it. All I remember is being alone and scared. I woke up from surgery scared and crying. And again no husband! I was alone until I was awake enough to go home. The nurse got me dressed and sent me home. IF I have to have orthopedic surgery again I will request it be done at Baptist where my husband is allowed to be with me, pray with me while I’m still lucid, comfort me, etc. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but after the year I’ve had, it was a big deal to me!

The nurses and doctors were all extremely nice and comforting. This facility is truly the best if you are needing surgery. They treat your family extremely kind and offer them snacks and drinks while they wait and keep them up on your progress. The facility is extremely clean. I just can say enough about the care I received here from the nurses to the anesthesiologist, they were above and beyond caring. This was my first surgery and they made it so relaxed for me when I was so nervous. My daughter had surgery at the beginning of this year at another facility and that facility doesn’t stand up at all next to this one. Metro Specialty surgery center is by far the best around!! 5+stars for sure!!
