Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Tonsillectomy / AdenoidectomyThe tonsils and sometimes the adenoids are removed for repeated infections or sleep-disordered breathing. Recovery is notably harder for adults than children, with significant throat pain for a week or more and a real emphasis on staying hydrated.Ear Tube PlacementTiny tubes are placed through the eardrum to drain fluid and ventilate the middle ear, most often for children with recurrent ear infections. The procedure takes about 10 minutes and the tubes usually fall out on their own within a year.Sinus Surgery (FESS)A camera and instruments passed through the nostrils open blocked sinus drainage pathways, with no external incisions. Considered for chronic sinusitis that has not improved with medication. Congestion often worsens briefly before it improves.SeptoplastyThe wall of cartilage and bone between the nostrils is straightened to improve airflow through a blocked side. It addresses breathing rather than external appearance, though it is sometimes combined with cosmetic reshaping.Turbinate ReductionSwollen tissue inside the nose is shrunk to improve airflow, frequently at the same time as septoplasty. Often the difference between a nose that is structurally straight and one that actually feels open.LaryngoscopyA scope examines the voice box and vocal cords, used for persistent hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, or throat pain that has not resolved. Small lesions can sometimes be biopsied or removed during the same procedure.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

Highly recommend Ascentist for any ent surgical needs. I was very impressed with all aspects of the process at the surgery center. The entire staff including check in, pre/intra/post op nurses and anesthesia were amazing with their kindness, professionalism and attentiveness to my care. Dr Ursick was fantastic and I am thankful for his specialized skill set in repairing my ruptured ear drum.

My child had an ear tube procedure yesterday and would caution everyone before undergoing services at this clinic. From the start I knew it was going to be a difficult day. This facility takes on as many ear tube procedures as possible and it felt like we were cattle. After checking in at a scheduled 6:15 am apt with an 8mo old, we waited an hour in a curtained bay (not a room) as more and more people arrived. The staff were in no hurry, laughing at their station, and coughing right in front of us. By the time my child was taken back for the procedure, the waiting room was literally overflowing with more families scheduled for their procedures. When they were done, I was treated as an inconvenience, feeling rushed to give a bottle and get out so that the next person could take our bay. The center had the audacity to send me three messages about our “balance” after the procedure- even though I paid it at the time of the service. Today when the facility called me asking how my child was doing I said I’d provide feedback via their survey instead of on the phone- the caller was extremely short and had a snotty tone, confirming they truly do not care. I’ll be sharing this and more via their internal survey. TLDR- go elsewhere where the drs are not owners and have a much better experience. Update- I finally got a link to take your survey. Only one question was open-ended where I could really share thoughts.

Well I'm glad I skipped out on this place. Especially after reading the reviews! They gave me bad vibes from the beginning. They sound super shady about billing & making up prices for procedures. I will be taking my money to another establishment where the Doctors aren't liars or leeches. Once I'm given a price, that's what I'm going to pay. NOBODY will bully me out of my hard earned money, or prey on a sickness just to bleed more money out of patients. That's pathetic! I went to another facility & whoever reads this, you should too! Stay well people 🙏🏼 ❤️

Their allergy services were excellent. Allergy treatment was quick, easy, relatively painless, and worked very well. However, I don’t recommend their ENT services. I’ve seen three doctors and they’ve all been egotistical weasels who don’t listen to their patients. One doctor said I was wrong when I told him a certain course of treatment was working and the issue came back when the treatment stopped. He said it was impossible the treatment helped. I was sent to a different doctor to discuss a different issue and he focused on an entirely different issue than what my appointment was for and refused to answer my questions regarding my actual issue. I was sent to yet another doctor for an issue. While perusing my chart, he noticed I had an issue for which I was seeking treatment outside Ascentist but their office treats. Without asking me, he said they’d be taking over my treatment for that issue. I have never had an issue with a nurse. But I’ve had issues with every doctor I’ve seen. Ascentist is the only doctor’s office that has disappointed me so many times.

The staff let me down 💔. I had slurred speech n front of Dr. Frazier, he said ur not turning blue, so ur ok. I was having a mini stroke! What Dr. doesn't know that. He let me drive away. I was admitted for two days. The day after leaving the hospital I call & told the staff. Do U think they apologies, No! Will never return! 😡
