I had weight loss surgery they told me that Medicare would pay for it and I would not be out of pocket any money. My insurance paid $177,120 plus office visits. Then the billed me after my surgery. My fiancé paid $9950 cash and got much better service. If you do business get it in writing don’t take there word for anything. Get it in writing which I didn’t. Billing Dept wouldn’t return calls timely.

Only giving one star because zero doesn't appear to be an option. Probably a great place if you can pay out of pocket, but most of the population of this nation doesn't have that option. Having to do a surgery over an hour and a half away because of Medicare payment restrictions? This isn't a hospital; it's just a place to string out your insurance while they find you somewhere inconvenient to have your procedure done after they have exhausted their allowance from governmental sources. Not a hospital, not if it is clearly FOR profit.

Great place but they don't return your calls once the surgery been done. I've called four times but I m not giving up. Just want to ask if they made a mistake when they billed Medicare $220,000 for my surgery and settled for $177,120 when the did all my friends cash pay for $9950

Blue Valley Surgical, Hospital and Pain Management are all wonderful! I've had cervical and lumbar issues for a long time. Dr Reed is an excellent surgeon! Highly talented and gifted in his field. In February 2018 he done two total disc replacements in my neck. I hadn't realized how much mobility I had lost in my neck until after the surgery. He done a wonderful job! Blue Valley hospital was excellent. The entire staff were competent and wonderful! Dr.Lasalle over at Blue Valley pain management is an awesome doctor and a great individual. Very informative about your diagnosis. They are presently working with my lumbar issues. The only downside to Blue Valley (and it's been an ongoing biggie with me) is the administration. Even the staff comments on it. Otherwise I highly recommend the doctors and staff!

Had spondylolisthesis grade 3. Came in for a lumbar Fusion and boy was that life-changing. I had been to KU Spine as well as a few others who all told me surgery was too risky and that I was better off dealing with it until it "got to the point it was unbearable" then they would screw it in place where it was without moving it to where need be. Dr. Reed is the only surgeon I talk to who not only had confidence to do what I need done but said he would move it back to where it was supposed to be and I would feel great almost immediately which was all true. Wish I made this decision 2 years ago I'm 34 years old and haven't been able to run for 2 years or even pick up my baby. Dr. Reed gave me my life back. The attached Blue Valley hospital however is not so awesome.
