Advent never responded or offered the slightest apology! Update:Now told the risk management department will be calling me. No call for two weeks. Next step is a public protest. Which is legal. The lack of professionalism doesn’t seem worth it to me but their lack of response is unacceptable. After extubation a hard plastic bite block was placed between my teeth by CRNA Mary Swingle, breaking all four of my upper front teeth. While an apology would have been expected from her I didn’t receive one. The anesthesiologist wasn’t in the room at the time and was not responsible for this although he did reach out with an apology. Truthfully I can only blame Mary for not addressing this and taking accountability. Ultimately this is Advents fault. Dentistry has not use hard plastic bite blocks for three decades. Rubber bite blocks would have prevented this from occurring. Not only can they be reused and only Cost $0.65 cents more but could have saved me $14,580.00. While every patient is forced to sign a release prior to surgery stating that should they break your teeth off, that there is no accountability on the part of the offender or the surgery center.,” so when they say, that never happens, ask why every patient has to sign a release that addresses the possibility. I can assure you after working in dentistry for 37 years this is more common than Advent will admit. Truly a horrific experience. Thank you Advent for the lack of care and concern. Had someone informed me you were hurting for money and couldn’t afford the 65 cents, I would have chipped in to help you out!!!

I had my gallbladder removed here on 2/7. I was absolutely terrified but knew it had to be done. The nurses were so kind and thoughtful while taking care of me even when I cried before being put under. I was told by my mother that I was quite rude upon waking up due to pain and anesthesia but she also told me how kind my nurse was though the entire interaction no matter how blunt I was. Very impressed and happy with how kind they were to me.

Absolutely wonderful! I had surgery today.. everyone in PACU. I apologize if I forgot any names but Nicole, Josie, Rachel, Dr. R (anesthesiologist) everyone was so wonderful, joked around but still so professional and calmed my nerves so well! The world needs more wonderful caring hearts as you all have! Keep up the good work 🤍

I felt so comfortable and well cared for during my surgery experience. Everything was well timed and my needs were all meet. My family was kept up to date on my surgery as they waited too. I hope I never have to have surgery again, however, if I do I will insist on going back to SM Surgery Center and use Dr. Carlo Jurani (Prairie Surgical Care) again in a heartbeat! He was my guardian angel during my entire process, and as result, my quality of life has been 100% improved after only 2 weeks post surgery!
