On July 2, 2020, following my tonsillectomy, a training nurse observed my awakening from anesthesia. As consciousness returned, I experienced intense throat pain and pressure, signaling my need for hydration. The nurse kindly provided water and potent pain medication in syrup form. However, I struggled to swallow the medication, necessitating me to reject it back into the cup. Over time, as my awareness increased, I managed to drink successfully. Upon reiterating my request for pain relief, the nurse informed me of her need to seek approval from a superior. Regrettably, this authority figure declined my request for pain medication, even after I detailed my initial difficulties with the medication. In a subsequent trip to the bathroom, the nurse accompanied me, justifying her presence due to lingering effects of anesthesia. This lack of consideration for my well-being was disappointing, especially given the substantial financial investment in my medical care. Despite the significant costs incurred, the medical personnel exhibited a lack of empathy, leaving me feeling disregarded and neglected during a vulnerable moment. On July 15 and 16, I was hospitalized in two different hospitals due to post-operation bleeding and blood clotting.

We truly had a great experience with center for same day surgery. They treated my toddler with so much respect and care, the nurses were incredible and took great care of him. They even bandaged up his “baby”. ❤️

My toddler had a procedure done here and I cannot recommend them enough. From the second we walked in the staff was phenomenal with her. Everyone of them were attentive and caring up to the moment we put her into the car to go home. They explained everything to her and I both in ways that she could understand and even tried to make it as fun as possible for her. I can’t thank them enough for making this a little easier on all of us.

Well, I received two emails asking for surveys and got the response that the survey was not able to be submitted both times, there is no email address for contacting the facility online so I figured I would go ahead and supply my additional comments back. "I was fairly unimpressed overall with the facility. I was called a day before I even had a surgery time assigned to ask how I would be paying.  Insurance recommends I pay after the claim has been processed through them but that was not presented as an option.  I realize that you may have issues with people paying but in my opinion it's not very professional to proceed this way and to not explain that it is an option to pay after insurance processed. That was how my encounter with the facility began. Upon arriving to the facility, the employees at the front desk were very polite and as helpful as they could be which is the most positive thing I can say. The second issue I had, in preop, my nurse bled my iv bag onto my blanket and then told me that they would change it in surgery, I had no problem with that except that I sat in preop for at least an hour and a half waiting.  I was even moved to recovery at one point to continue waiting. No explanations, no idea if the Dr. was running late or what happened.  I know it was at least 20-30 minutes after my scheduled surgery time that I was taken back because I finally got to ask a nurse what time it was.  Then my wife had to call to try and get an update much later than it should have been.  The Dr told me it would be around an hour procedure and that he would be contacting my emergency contact before the facility contacted my ride. Neither of these happened, my wife ended up having to contact the facility to find out if there were issues or what was going on since she hadn't heard a couple hours after an update was expected. The excuse she received was that the recovery nurse had gotten busy... when the nurse did contact my wife she provided instructions that countered what the Dr. had provided so she had to follow up with the Dr. to find where the mistake was. We were also told to go to the wrong pharmacy to pick up my script post surgery. Luckily instead of driving 15 minutes out of the way we called the pharmacy to verify they in fact did not have my script there and they told us it was at the pharmacy we usually use. The next day I called the facility to talk to the recovery nurse and she recommended I speak to the Dr. Regarding the information we wanted on how the procedure went and expectations post surgery. She told me that his contact information was on my recovery paperwork but not that I could locate so I ended up having to contact his office instead." I then proceeded to get 2 emails requesting surveys that were "not able to be successfully submitted". I sincerely hope that my experience is not the common experience that takes place here. However, based on my experience here I can't say I would recommend this facility if there are options available. I am giving 2 stars because I did make it in and out of the facility and the actual procedure went as planned as far as I can tell.

Good things: very friendly and competent health care workers. Not so good things: I was required to check in 2 hours prior to surgery. I was very uncomfortable in the waiting room for that long. The pre-op room was freezing. My post op instructions were unreadable. I had to call the after hours number to ask what those instructions were and my doc wasn’t on call, so the on call doc was basically guessing. The follow up call was 3 days after surgery and the person who called couldn’t answer my questions.
