I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent appointment. Despite arriving five minutes early for my 1:30 PM appointment, I was not called in until 2:30 PM. A patient who arrived at 2:00 PM was seen before me, which I found perplexing. Subsequently, I was directed by Amy to have lab work completed. Upon my arrival at the hospital, I waited for ten minutes only to be informed that the necessary paperwork had not yet been submitted. I contacted your office, and the receptionist assured me she would inform Amy. After an additional five-minute wait without resolution, I reconfirmed with the lab, who stated they still had not received the paperwork. My subsequent call to your office revealed that the paperwork was only then being processed, with the explanation that Amy had just concluded an appointment with another patient. This entire experience was unsatisfactory.
Pam. Rudest woman I’ve “never” spoke to. We’ve been playing phone tag since may. I have called back or on my own since may never have been answered when called back, always days later. Anyways, she left a smart voice message and decided to break bad news over the voice mail. Completely unprofessional… no bedside manner. Just classless !!
I started my weight loss journey with this place in March of 2024. Here it is August 2024. I have yet to get surgery because they kept adding things that I needed to have done. They started tacking on things that I needed to have done at the end of June. I made it very clear that in June that my insurance would be changing on August the 1st. They told me no worries that my new insurance would just pick up where my old left off. Well today August the 8th the day before my surgery consult. I get a phone calling from the billing department stating that my insurance would not cover it and that they don't take my insurance. I had to call and cancel the whole thing because they dropped the ball. Had they told me everything I needed before June I could have already had surgery and been healing nicely at home. To say I am highly upset is an understatement. I would not personally recommend them. If you do decide to use them make sure you stay on them to get what you need done in a timely matter. I would have given no stars on this review given a choice.
Zero stars! I had started this process in 2022 but had to stop for personal reasons. So in March 2024 I decided I wanted to pursue this again. I personally dropped off my patient packet to Michael in the office on 3/8, waited for call to set my appointment as instructed & never received call. I did receive a call from Pam on 3/18 as she stated she seen the I had been on the website (?) & asked if I was interested in Bariatric surgery. I explained that I had already dropped the packet off in person & was still waiting on a callback for consult appt. I spoke to her again on 3/19 about who, what, when , where I dropped of my paperwork. Long story short NO ONE knows where my paperwork went, why it was NOT processed in computer etc. Furthermore after not hearing anymore back from Pam or anyone else for about a week or so, I called back & spoke with Michael, I was told that Pam had marked that she had attempted to call me a few times one being on 3/28 & had left messages at end of march. This is a COMPLETE lie. I have all my call logs & this person has NOT called me since 3/19. On 4/4 I had a missed call from the program coordinator “Karen” phone number that is listed in the info in the patien packet & when I called her back from the MISSED call, I was told not to contact her anymore because she is just an employee of the hospital and that I need to call Pam. I explained that I had a missed call & she rudely repeated herself. AGAIN I was returning a MISSED call from Karen’s phone number. I also explained this to Michael on 4/4/24 to which in that conversation he was connecting to Pam personally, I was hung up on & then an hour or so later got a callback to say Pam was not in that but the Michael would have her call me first thing on Monday. It is now THURSDAY & guess what…no one has called me. All this waiting on the first consult appt. The first time in 2022, everyone was great, friendly & helpful. This time, you be the judge , bc I can’t even get a consult appt or callback for that matter. Maybe Norton’s is do better.
So far, so good. My sleeve is on Sept 14 and so far I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Dr. Oldham and all his staff. Everyone is so professional, nice and welcoming. They explained and answered all my questions with no problem (in person and on the phone). I really feel that they have had my back so far. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!! Thanks. Photos to come at a later date.
