Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Thoroughly impressed. The aesthetics of the center is Beautiful, clean and neat. I Visited the imaging office for MRI and CT scans- From the very first encounter with the front desk professional -Latoria all the way down to the imaging techs- Everyone was professional, nice and friendly even at 8 AM in the morning! I especially appreciate Scott who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during the MRI (which is difficult when you're not only in pain but slightly claustrophobic) He even provided me with headphones and gave me my choice of music on Spotify to listen to- Which was quite calming and relaxing. I do not want to get imaging services anywhere else after this experience. I love it here- thank you Spine Center of Excellence! Everything was truly "excellent"!

This facility is professionally well organized. Very nice staff all well trained. Dr Stuerman is a fantastic doctor and person. He and his OUTSTANDING nurses have given me nerve block injections. While they are all professionals they keep things relaxing by talking and laughing with their patients during any discomfort. Definitely recommend Spine Center of Excellence Bossier
