Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

HysteroscopyA slim camera passed through the cervix examines the inside of the uterus, and can remove polyps or fibroids in the same visit. No abdominal incision is involved. Cramping for a day or two afterward is normal.LaparoscopyA camera and instruments are inserted through small abdominal incisions, allowing diagnosis and treatment without a large open incision. Used for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain, with recovery measured in days rather than weeks.D&C (Dilation and Curettage)The cervix is dilated and the uterine lining removed, for heavy bleeding, after a miscarriage, or to obtain tissue for diagnosis. The procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes and most people return to normal activity within a day or two.Tubal LigationThe fallopian tubes are sealed, cut, or removed to provide permanent contraception. It should be considered irreversible — reversal is not reliably successful, so it is intended for people certain they do not want future pregnancy.Endometrial AblationThe uterine lining is destroyed to reduce or stop heavy menstrual bleeding, offering an alternative to hysterectomy. It is not a contraceptive, and it is only appropriate for those who have completed childbearing.Ovarian Cyst RemovalA persistent, enlarging, or painful ovarian cyst is removed, usually laparoscopically. Surgeons generally aim to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary itself, particularly for patients who may want future pregnancy.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

this place is a sham! total racket...don't believe me, go see for yourself, but have your cash & debit cards ready, because all they do is process payments & trump up care codes for insurance payments. This Advanced Cardio referral was from another quack at Bossier Family Medicine off Viking Drive (it's just a network of rackets in this area)....I won't mention the Doctor's names that I had either appt with, but the Adv Cardio Dr. gave me about 6.333 mins of his time, but what a total whack job he was....all fluff & you can tell he DOES NOT CARE ONE BIT! He's a $$$ Physician, Period...nothing more...Look at the WEBSITE!!! He pretended to listen to me w/ a stethoscope that wasn't even being placed correctly. I had to pay $60 just to book the appt upfront before ever having stepped foot on the property! They didn't listen to me as I tried to explain my Hx & what I was experiencing. I was shut down in under 10 min. I was asked a few questions on things like "do i read?", "what do i read?", and then I was told that I should walk more, tho I am a busy Full-time CNA for a skilled nursing facility, that moves & works every single day! They try upsell by faking knowledge & interests in you & your care by targeting High Mark Insurance Code procedures that are unnecessary (and most you have to pay cash for upfront before Insurance), these electric tests are no more advanced than basic EKG & Ultra sounds at Quick Care. Then after about 30 days, you get another bill for $60. You may want to share your experience w/ Louisiana Asst. Attorney General's Office. That info can be found online.

My mom didnt feel comfortable with her cardilogist at another provider. I have seen and my father has seen and trusted Dr Fillecia, so I set an appointment for her to switch to Dr Fillecia. I then get a call back saying he won't see her because she already has another cardiologist and ACS wanted her to see someone else there, but she didn't want another unknown and untrusted cardiologist. Dr Fillecia used to be great and friendly, but maybe he got too full of himself or something. I sure as hell will not go to ACS again, or refer anyone to ACS or Dr Fillecia again. In fact, I will vehemently reccomend going anywhere but ACS.

i tried to get appointment with Dr Fillecia to switch to him as my cardiologist. Appointment was scheduled, then canceled because he said he won't take a patient already seeing a cardiologist. I was referred to him by someone I trust since no cardiologist I have seen I feel comfortable with or trust, so now I am stuck. I will tell people to not even try to go here because they don't care.
