Billing department is a complete mess...18 months after procedure still dealing with a "wrong code" submitted to my insurance company. CC Gastro has admitted multiple times it is their fault and i should never have been billed...but now i am dealing with a credit agency CC Gastro has repeatedly told me they have corrected the problem- I think they finally took care of this and called off the credit agency- but I still wasted dozens of hours on the phone with CC Gastro billing, insurance and then credit agency...they need to get sharper!
I was sorry this place has gone downhill since 10 years ago. Who owns and manages it now?? While staff members were not unpleasant, they seemed resigned and not particularly positive. Infection control was iffy (gloves not changed between handling a Starbucks cup, among other things, and removing an IV Needle, for example) None of the staff were wearing masks (we're in a CLINICAL SETTING, y'all!). The place was freezing cold (staff were also suffering, and they got to wear clothes and move around!), which is awful when you're already cold from being sleep deprived and on a liquid diet for over 24 hours. After the procedure, and a minute with the doctor, you're rushed out of there while still woozy and wobbly, despite being a fall risk or elderly. Also, there are no longer drinks or snacks given afterwards, because of "COVID" (allegedly), hmmmm....but it's ok not to have masks on?? Completely bizarre. Not sure if there are better places in the DMV, but I sure hope there are!
Amazing staff - receptionists, nurses, anesthesiologists and doctors are all extremely professional and friendly. I'd like to thank everyone there for taking such a good care of me.
I was very anxious before my colonoscopy with Dr. Weinstein. But from the moment I was called in for the procedure, I was treated with the utmost kindness from the doctors and their assistants, all of whom displayed great thoroughness and professionalism. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Cole, patiently explained the procedure before administering the medication (as he told me, I was out in three seconds and awakened 30 minutes later feeling refreshed. Afterwards, Dr. Weinstein walked me through the findings in addition to presenting me a detailed written report including photographs. The lesson of the day: fear not. Do what you need to do. And use this practice, if you do
I am an RN for over 40 years and had a procedure done at the center mid May 2018 So, I am a very informed health professional. My experience far exceeded my expectations. The staff was very professional, punctual and informative. The setting is clean, comfortable and affords privacy. Dr Kirk is an excellent Gadtroenterologist who has an wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend, without reservation, Dr. Kirk and the Chevy Chase Endoscopy Center.
