I like the Kent Island Clearway Pain Solutions. But the Easton CPS is very different. They aren't personable, the doctor is rude, the assisting staff appear to be nervous around the doctor. If I can help it, I'll never go there again. They humiliated me in front of waiting patients then threatened me over something I have no control of. The office on Kent Island is friendly and understanding. They are reasonable. There are still rules to be followed but they take reasonable measures to get the results that are required. Ashley takes the time to find out about YOU and suggests different techniques you can try to reduce the pain. She suggested a massage and what a difference it made. I could finally move my neck which I hadn't been able to do for 2 years. The doctor at Easton doesn't seem to be interested in what's needed to help me. I'll stick with Kent Island.
Each visit at the Pain Management Surgical Center in Easton, the gentleman at the front desk is not very professional. He speaks to every patient and driver asking personal questions while the whole waiting room is listening. Questions such as, do you work and where? What and where did you go on vacation? What do you like to do for fun? Where does your family live? Reading shirt logos and sayings outloud. This can make for an uncomfortable setting. Understanding, that he is being friendly. But the personal questions should not be asked in this setting. The medical care received is exceptional.
Awful but worse! Booking my initial appointment the staff said that Easton wasn’t accepting new patients and I’d have to go to Columbia only after the insurance information was approved. Nah that’s too far. I called my referral doctor back who got me in. Fast forward to today and I get there at 1230 for a 110 appointment. Place looked like a free clinic with about 20 people waiting and a line out the door. Completed all the check in forms ahead of time online. Arrived and shared my cards and paid for the co pay. Was seated. Called at 1 pm and staff took vitals and said “Dr John will be right in”. I waited and waited and waited. No one popped in today “it’s just a little longer” etc. nothing. After an hour of waiting I left. Funny they have signs all over the office “Did we Wow you today”. No. You didn’t. Try harder. I told the desk staff I was leaving after waiting over an hour. My guess is they overbook and don’t really give patients enough time other than a in and out policy to bill your insurance carrier. Look elsewhere people. These people have more patients already and have no room for you. And before someone from Clearway responds to this to tell me they will share it with the staff save your time! Call me to apologize not salvage your ratings on the internet!
The office staff was a bit curt. More importantly I came for a simple follow up appointment - 5 minutes long - and waited for over an hour. When I mentioned this to Dr. John he lectured me on how important his other patients are. It seems he has more patients than he can handle, so I did him a favor and left.
Dr. John has helped me so much with my back and joint problems due to my osteoarthritis. His staff is professional and the ambulatory surgical center has a GREAT staff. They are professional, friendly and courteous and make me feel very comfortable every time I've had a procedure. Highly recommend!
