The people on site for the surgery were great. But they made me pay up front the amount they estimated I might owe. It turns out they charged me more than $100 in excess of what I ended up owing. It is now six months later and I am still fighting to get that overpayment refunded to me. My advice - do not prepay the amount they ask for. Pay half and make them bill you for the rest. Work this out with them before the morning of your surgery. Unless you can afford to lose more than $100. Good luck.

This was the best experience I have ever had in a medical facility. My mom had knee replacement here and from the time she registered to the time we left after surgery was top notch. All of the nurses, the anesthesiologists, doctors, PT, and other staff were nothing short of amazing. You can tell the nursing staff have a bond and work together. Thank you all for taking amazing care of my mom.

The nurses and medical staff here were wonderful, 5 star all the way. The Administration and billing practices are 1 star. Went here for knee surgery and their policy is that you must pay up front the day of surgery (they did tell me that ahead of time). However they billed me ~ $800 more than they should have and it has been more than 2 months and I have not received my refund. The folks I have spoken with have been understanding but I am still waiting for their check and I have other medical bills associated with the surgery that are due.

The facility, staff and care at the Ellicott City Surgical Center is wonderful! From pre op through post op, I found everyone friendly, professional, informative, caring and helpful. The center itself is clean and well designed where individual care is a priority. All nurses and doctors took their time explaining the prep & procedures and answered any questions that I had. My doctor (Dr.Adams), anesthesiologist (Dr.Charles) and my professional nursing staff (Kathryn, Stacey, & Brittany) provided excellent, professional care. I attribute my positive surgery experience and uneventful quick recovery to my amazing surgical team. Thank you all for your professionalism!

Everyone was incredibly nice. Once I was in the back being prepared for surgery, they were so sweet. They knew I had anxiety about my surgery and they kept me calm. When I woke up my nurse was right there next to me and did not leave my side till I was in the car leaving. Explain that my hole right side was numbed and assured me my breathing may feel restricted but everything was fine. Assured me I could call no matter what if I have questions. Even called me the next day to check on me. My experience there was made amazing because of their staff, I truly appreciate it!
