Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I appreciate the care I receive from Amy Larsen, PA., in Prince Frederick. She's attentive and I can tell she cares about her patients. The staff, overall, is very kind and helpful. I've been to another doctor for my pain and this place has been a step above the rest. Thank you!

Dr. Medic was thorough in asking variety of questions until I felt she completely understood my concerns. She listened attentively and explained the options. Even on my first visit I was totally at ease.

Clearway Pain Solutions is the very best in pain management care. They give great care and compassion to their patients with a professional and conservative approach. It's so nice to be able to trust your provider and know that you are in very good hands. There's so much to offer in pain management and they certainly know how to do it! I know that my pain will be easily controlled and my daily activities improved. I'm grateful and thankful for Clearway Pain Solutions.

My experience with Clearway Pain Solutions was extremely disappointing. While I was waiting to be seen, an elderly woman ahead of me was having trouble with her card, which kept declining. She clearly needed assistance, but instead of helping her, the receptionist was rude and offered no support. They left the woman in tears and canceled her appointment. The problem was not with her card. During all of this, a nurse came out and began yelling that she was taking another patient in because the woman was taking too long. At that point, I wanted to leave—and I should have. My own doctor’s visit ended up being a complete waste of both my time and theirs. I will never go back, and I do not recommend this practice to anyone.
