My husband was at this Surgery Center on 14 Aug 25 to get a shot in his back/lumbar area. Dr. Kahn performed the procedure. This is the 3rd time my husband or I have used this center with multiple doctors; and, we highly recommend it. Barbara initially answered my call 3 days before the procedure and checked with the scheduler/nurse to get my husband scheduled prior to our out-of-town trip which we greatly appreciated. Nurse Christie called the day before the procedure to go over pre-surgery information and clear him for surgery. Karen checked my husband in the day of his procedure and checked his credentials. Nurse India prepped him for surgery and was the attending nurse. Dr. Kahn administered all of the pre-procedure numbing shots and administered the steroid injection as appropriate. Nurse Judy brought him out and helped him post procedure. She also gave us post follow-up instructions and a follow-up appointment. My husband experienced no pain and was impressed with the professionalism and skill of Dr. Kahn and the staff. The center works like a "well-oiled machine" and all those involved were friendly, efficient, competent, and provided excellent service. Thankyou.
I was highly impressed with Prince Frederick Surgery Center! These people have it going on! They’re efficient, caring, friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Tabitha was fantastic and Dr Khan answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. They even played the songs I requested as I was going into sedation. I’m usually very nervous with any procedure, involving needles, but I have to say, this was quite a comfortable procedure and great experience . Oh! I’m also enjoying the pain-free movements, I have now, due to my procedure there.
Beware that they work with The Anesthesia Company out of Annapolis and their billing department is incompetent. After an October surgery we received a bill for $1170 via text in January, which in 2025 is a major red flag. Upon calling their billing department I was advised that they never even submitted to my insurance. Fast forward to today, I received a message from a collections agency. I again call the billing department which seems to utilize an international call center where they advised that my childs name was incorrect -- although it was correct on every other claim we received for that day. I contacted the local administrative office where they seemed completely unapologetic for the inconvenience and advised that I may not be removed from collections until they hear back from my insurance. This nightmare alone is worth going elsewhere.
I recently had to take my elderly aunt here. It’s a wonderful place. I was greeted by a young woman named Karen who so sweet and patient with both myself and my aunt. Receptionist who are nice and knowledgeable are rare in my experience. The surgery went well. My aunt is doing great. It’s a wonderful place to have surgery.
While the actual surgery itself was fine, dealing with this office after the fact was a complete nightmare. I paid on the day of surgery and as it turned out, I wasn't supposed to. So, after a bit of a runaround, I was referred to their billing company, who were actually helpful and were able to set my refund in motion. However, after OVER A MONTH and no sign that my check was coming, I attempted to call the office. At 3PM on a Thursday, there was no administrator or anyone who had any kind of knowledge or authority to help. I stress the fact that it was well within normal business hours and there was no one with any kind of authority to actually do anything. Perhaps my refund has been delayed for a month because no one there does their actual JOB. If you need surgery there, hopefully you have a better experience with payment because they just want to take your money.
