Only reason why I give it a 1 star is because the doctors persona and friendly staff. Dr.Dru Lowe was nice, However I don’t believe the doctors care too much about major issues and all they want to do is give out medication instead of offer other alternatives. I went in with previous studies and voiced my concerns regarding a hernia I have. They gave me medication and told me to continue to take this. Re did an endoscopy and told me I didn’t have a hernia only to find out I did have one after when they sent me to do a swallow test. Then they said oh just continue to take medication. MEANWHILE I am still sitting here in pain that has just gotten worse, wasted my time AND just got sent off with medication. Not happy AT ALL. Wouldn’t recommend them.
I had a great experience at this office. I was called to exam room less than 5 minutes after I finished check in and seen by the NP Abbi Lamparelli shortly after that. She was knowledgeable, thorough and answered all of my many questions completely. She gave me much needed information on dealing with my condition. In addition, I was able to get my bloodwork done in the same office. Win- win.
Dr. Byrne's Ratings was everything that it said he would be and he was very knowledgeable & very informative Of my present condition. He was also extremely considerate and compassionate to my present medical needs and gave me excellent advice. It's extremely hard to find good doctors with an excellent bedside manner and I'm glad that I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting him.
The visit started off a little frustrating because I had to sit in the waiting area about an hour. Once I got into a room, the nurse took my vitals and Dr.Xu came in shortly after. He was very apologetic about the wait. There were unusual circumstances that day and I understand things happen. He apologized so much and he was so nice that my frustration went away. Dr. Xu explained the procedure and how to prep. He made me felt very comfortable about the colonoscopy procedure.
This practice should process insurance information before appointments like every other practice. I submitted my insurance information when I made the appointment (a month ago), a week prior to the appointment, as well as the morning of the appointment. Yet, they didn’t attempt to process it until I arrived. Because of their delay, they claimed I had “passed the 15-minute grace period” and refused to see me, even though there was only one other person in the waiting room and I had arrived on time, the other patient was already late. They also never called my insurance company to resolve the issue as I requested, and instead forced me to reschedule. While the initial insurance card was outdated, I could have been made aware prior to the appointment if they had actually processed it like they should have. When I provided the new insurance card there were still issues. At that point, it had to be human error when inputting the information because all the information was completely up to date and accurate. All in all, this is unacceptable and they should have still seen me since I was on time for my appointment and the delay was on their end. I will never return or recommend this office to ANYONE. Cancel my rescheduled appointment—this place is a joke.
