Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Today I was placed on hold for 39 minutes exactly to schedule a follow up appointment which they had cancelled in the fall. Absolutely ridiculous.

All things considered while getting my 1st colonoscopy, the process was very professional, on time, things were explained start to finish, and the staff was amazing. Receptionist, nurses, Dr. Conan, and others were all very kind and make you feel comfortable. Procedure was not a big deal and I was in and out of there in about 1.5 hours. I don’t have any other places to compare to, but the staff here was terrific and I left with no questions or pain. A+

I recently had a procedure at this location and was extremely impressed by the staff. The receptionist was very helpful and “cheerful” knowing that the procedure is a difficult one. The nurses, anesthesiologist and the doctors all explained everything step by step and in layman’s terms. They were compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend this facility.

I just had a colonoscopy with this group and as other reviews pointed out there was no anesthesia mild sedation was the as others have pointed out. I have had three other procedures and this was never the case. The nurse said he called and informed me that this would be the case but he never truly differentiated what that would mean I am not a medical person he should have been clear. Never again with this group stay away. I wish I had read these reviews ahead of time. Please go elsewhere this is not a good place.

Excellent experience. Liked the miralax/ducolax prep approach. The facility itself was good - amazing staff. From doctors to nurses everyone so kind. They know what they are doing people are in and out efficiently. I had the conscious sedation and it was no issue at all - I was comfortable, felt nothing and was out of it/asleep for most. I was worried after a previous review and was a non issue. Also, they played Yacht rock at my request as I drifted away..
