Had a colonoscopy July 18, 2024. I was very impressed with all the people that work there from the receptionist to the nurses and the doctor that did the procedure comforting, kind professional everyone was great. Shout out to Jill and Gia. Nobody wants a colonoscopy. But they made it Easy Highly recommend
Had a terrible experience. The nurses were super unknowledgeable (I have complex medical history) Anesthesia left during time out (unacceptable) PLACED THE BITE BLOCK WHILE I WAS AWAKE. the gi was good came out and helped when I was having pain after. They tried to use the “propofol has anti nausea properties” on me and I made them give me simethicone (gas x) I did call to chat with the charge nurse & she was absolutely horrible and implied it was my fault and this is how things go.
From the moment I entered the Merrimack Valley Endoscopy Center for a colonoscopy, I was treated like a special guest. Check-in was a breeze, and the entire team in the endoscopy unit were warm, welcoming, friendly, deeply caring and kind. Helen, Nancy, Amy, Chloe, and Rick the Anesthesiologist all made sure I was well-cared for and comfortable. The procedure went extremely well - thank you Dr. Lee - and I always felt confident I was in the best hands for a colonoscopy. All instructions were carefully and clearly reviewed, and I left feeling great - really! I highly recommend the Merrimack Valley Endoscopy Center and would give them 10 stars if I could.
On 6/6/22 I went in for my first colonoscopy. Dr. Dayan, Dr. Beechinor and the nurses (Donna, Helen, Richard, and Sue) assigned to me were terrific. I felt no pain before, during, or after the procedure. Do not hesitate to share your concerns or fears with them, they will take the time to answer all your questions. Each person went out of their way to make me feel safe, warm and comfortable. These people really do care, will listen to you, and will treat you with respect and dignity. Give them the same respect in return and your visit will be positive and pleasant. I'm very happy I went and grateful for everything they did. P.S. Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in men and women. Early detection is essential, please stop making excuses like I did. There's nothing to be afraid of, it doesn't hurt, and it could save your life.
It is a rare thing these days to be so impressed with a medical *anything* that it requires telling people about it! I had a colonoscopy there yesterday, and - without exception! - every single person there, from the front desk, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologist, to the Dr., were completely, off-the-charts fabulous. I felt so taken care of, and (okay, this may sound weird) I actually had fun with them. If you are someone who is looking for these kinds of services, do not hesitate to use this group. You will be glad you did!
