Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

While my procedure went well, I have had nothing positive to say about their billing. I questioned what they said I owed several times before my procedure and was met with rudeness. Now I have been waiting for my almost $700 refund for over 2 months and all I get told is that I should have it within two weeks. (have been told that 3 times) Not only is not refunding my money for this length of time illegal, no one will let me speak to anyone who can actually help or give me an honest answer. This is terrible to be treated this way for no reason.

Great experience start to finish. From the nurses, to the techs, anesthesia and Dr. Miller. Everything was right on schedule and everyone worked as a perfect team. Dr. Miler was very kind and compassionate and I look forward to seeing him again.

I had an EGD preformed on the 13th of May 2025 and I was very impressed with everyone there! They got me in fast and out as soon as possible. My procedure went very well and Dr Miller was the best! I go back there on June 17th for a different procedure. I know I'm in great hands with everyone! KUDOS to all!! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I have been going to Health Park Endoscopy for over 10 years. Each and every time, the entire staff has been professional, compassionate, and did everything in complete coordination. Yesterday, for my colonoscopy, I was in and out within 1 hour...watching each of the staff, from the receptionist, nurses, doctor, anesthetist, ..., to the very nice orderly that wheeled me to the car, I am amazed by the way they work together, seamlessly. I would give many more stars, if that was possible. Many thanks to the team for making such otherwise uncomfortable experiences, the best possible!!

Horrible experience from start to finish. I’m writing from professional experience as I do this for a living. Less then half of the staff introduced themselves to me and their titles/roles in my care. The pre admission instruction, and information I had to obtain myself last minute. I fear for people not well versed in the procedures. Customer care and satisfaction was not a priority. I found the staff less then friendly or caring. Basically a fast track if your in need of a scope without safe quality care. The follow up phone call many quality facilities make the following day was left on my phone blank with no message, as was the care they deliver. There are so many other options in healthcare today that you essentially pay for, and they showed no interest in grasping that. Please consider researching quality, and most importantly safe satisfactory facilities for your care.
