Dear Doctor Garrett, God knew what he was doing when he sent you to become a EYE SPECIALIST. I have been Blind in my right eye since birth. Having a Cataract on my Left eye has been really scary. The thought of going blind even more. At 81 years old I finally hit my first deer 2 days before my surgery. I can say I'm a real Upper now. That will never happen again because MY SURGERY YOU PERFORMED ON MY LEFT EYE WAS A MIRACLE. I CAN SEE THINGS AND READ I NEVER WAS ABLE TO DO BEFORE. My son was seen at the Garrett Eye Center. I could not have been more impressed, thankful, and grateful for the entire staff. From the moment you walk in the door you are assured that you are cared for in the best possible way. The front desk staff is warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to answer any and all questions I had. The nurses are second to none! They explained what they were doing each step of the way. They made sure to explain to me what was taking place, and they made sure to reassure my son as to what was happening, putting him at ease immediately. When he was seen by Dr. Garrett I knew I was getting experience, expertise, and technology that was second to none. He took his time to ensure that the procedure was done to perfection. He explained each step to my son so that he knew exactly what to expect. He went out of his way to calm his fears, all while performing the procedure to perfection. As a community we are fortunate to have a Dr like Dr. Garrett, a facility with current and new technology, a staff that is caring and knowledgeable, and a Dr with decades of experience that chooses to share his gift with all of us. I know i put up a review and took it off but i want to warn ppl. Ive waited long enough for any healing to occur and its been close to a year now. I see comercials and theyre pushing cataract surgury but mine was an epic fail! I now need glasses 100% of the time and prior to this i could at least see 10 feet without them. I cant even see my phone now without them or my tv thats 8 feet away! My perifrial is completely gone and i can actually see the curve of the lense! Things are cloudy as well! My eyesight is FAR worse after going to garrett. I know i got the only lense my insurance covered, and i feel i shouldve been warned- i was not told during the counciltation that theres a chance it gets worse. I was told i wont even need glasses anymore aside from reading. My whole initial prob was seeing at night driving. I cant even see the signs clearly in any distance in the day time now!! Its all about the money i think becaise this is unacceptable. If i could prove this id sue them. Very nice ppl ans im sure they meant well but its prob time to retire.. PLEASE be careful making this choice. If possible go anywhere but here for a second opinion and option!
