I had a colonoscopy scheduled in November. I had a seizure half way through my prep and ended up in the hospital. I called the office to let them know I wouldn’t be able to come and the reason why. They told me to call and reschedule when I was able. I consulted with my neurologist in December and he told me I was good to reschedule. When I called to reschedule the girl had in her notes the reason, as she mentioned it to me and rescheduled me. I spent the last week on a special diet, completed my prep per the instructions, showed up for my appointment today, got back was in my gown all ready to go and the nurse came back and told me it was against their policy to do the procedure until I was 6 months seizure free. I don’t understand if this is policy why I was even allowed to rebook an appointment without being told?!? I understand the policy, but come on!! I missed 2 days of unpaid work and did all this prep for nothing!! This should not have happened!! I should have been told when I canceled the first one that I needed to wait six months!! Not acceptable in my book!!
Disappointing. I had an initial appointment and endoscopy. The doctor, while knowledgeable, spoke in riddles and gave no guidance. He also seemed to not believe that I was having the issues I claimed, and refused to give me a note because I have been nauseated and vomiting (because he didn’t want to be dishonest?), but of course the office was happy to take an excessive amount of money, on top of insurance, for the procedure that he recommended because of said issues. He seems to have severe ADHD that is untreated… the IV blew my vein and I now have swelling and pain up my forearm. The nurses were mostly nice, but I was freezing and they only gave me a teeny blanket, while I listened to them coddle the woman next to me. The standard of care was wildly different, and the doctor was dismissive Consistency should be priority.
Amazing staff who are super caring and attentive. They knew what I would need before I could even ask for it. Every single person was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The facility is CLEAN and well organized. I felt very comfortable and confident in the care I received, and Dr. Bewick is fantastic! Great bedside manner.
This office is the worst medical office I have ever dealt with in my life. From start to finish, I have been disrespected, dismissed, taking advantage of, and received no help. The very first appointment (after going through their insurance verification process) I was told at the office they would not be able to see me because of insurance. After expressing how I thought this was a mistake, they looked into it and let me continue with my appointment. However, my previously approved $40 copay (that was given to me by a billing specialist over the phone before the appointment) was now going to be $80 (first red flag). I went to this office for a GI appointment to later be referred for an endoscopy. The doctor let me know that the scheduler would call me to schedule this procedure. I did not hear from them for 2 weeks so I called, only to be told that I didn’t need anything done. After having to advocate for myself AGAIN, they called me back and proceeded to get me scheduled. No apology for the misunderstanding. I had the procedure done. No issues with the actual procedure. I was told a set price over the phone for the procedure and paid in full upfront. I was later billed an extra $400 for “professional services” which I paid and now wish I wouldn’t have. I now have fought for OVER A YEAR about billing for the anesthesia with this office. Their anesthesiologist “works out of her house” and the office puts all blame onto her. The “works from home” anesthesiologist will not answer any phone calls, I am sent to voicemail everytime. Last September was the only time I was able to speak with her to which she told me that the billing was a mistake and to not worry and she would handle it. I asked for a confirmation on this via email or text, and never received anything. I am still getting bills (for different amounts btw) to this day. This procedure happened in April of 2024. My insurance has also called both the office and the “work from home” anesthesiologist to also get no where. I never leave any reviews and understand bad service happens sometimes but this is unacceptable.
Absolutely awful experience! We have used this office on previous occasions with no problem, not sure what has changed. Today was a different day! After a week of prep, I arrive for my scheduled time only to wait about 2 hours. I'm then told 2 of my medications should have been held except no one told me that! It's not on any of the prep sheets they tell you to use from their website nor was it mentioned when they called to give me my appointment time. I was told I had 2 options I could reschedule or proceed with minimal sedation, I was told I may be able to feel the procedure because i would not be fully sedated! Who would do that! I am beyond angry that I followed their prep to the letter and did not have it done due to someone's incompetence!
