Very knowledgeable, Dr. Miranda Dillon is excellent at making patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. Her follow up staff ie Rachel, shows professionalism and does a good job of disseminating information to the patient.
I’m only giving 3 stars for Dr. Ellison and the staff (mostly). I came for a colonoscopy, and in the midst of waking up the recovery nurse began grabbing me without my consent or letting me know why she’s touching me. She then proceeded to rip the sensors off of my body at random without asking or explaining still. I have severe PTSD, nothing was explained to me, I was half drugged and unable to stop her despite saying stop. Then when I asked her why she kept grabbing me she wouldn’t even speak or respond and ignored me. All I needed was a minute to adjust and an explanation of what was being done. The issue with this is when someone has ptsd and is drugged after an already vulnerable experience this feels like a violation of trust. I was not given a manager and as I got angrier and angrier was looked at poorly despite just being assaulted by your nurse. Is it that big of a rush to get people out that you assault them to do it? Is it possible to talk to someone as they’re coming off anesthesia so they’re not scared and begging you to stop? Never in my life have I ever been treated that way. That nurse has no business working with vulnerable people who are still drugged.
Had very good care there . The billing department on the other hand is awful. I have been trying to contact the billing department for two months . NEVER no call back . Called last week 1/28/ 26 . Finally a voice on the other end . They could not set a up a payment plan because server was down . But she could take a payment . This all seems very sketchy.. I know there are others with this same problem . What is going on ? No supervisor or management will not even give me the time of day . Are you just ignoring people to take them to collections because on your end your hands are clean if extra work . GIVE BILLING A HALF STAR FOR FINALLY ANSERWING YOUR . BETTER GET THAT FIXED ITS BEEN TWO MONTHS . VERY DISAPPOINTED IN GI. To bad because the care team is really good and caring . Way to bring em down billing department .
I appreciate how I don't have to wait long in the waiting room. before Im called. Everyone is so organized and thats why its run so smoothly. From the check-in to the room to see the Dr. I saw Ms Upchurch and she listens and she gives good advice.
My experience at GI Associates was extremely positive. The whole visit flowed so smoothly. The wait time was short both in the waiting room and the exam room. My NP was very thorough and tests were performed, meds ordered and my options discussed. The results were given to me the next day by a personal phone call. I would whole heartedly recommend this clinic. Very well run office.
