Excellent care here, so thankful my retina detachment surgery landed me at this surgery center. The facility itself is immaculate, but most importantly every single staff member was incredibly nice. From the lady at the front desk, who put my nerves at ease to the nurses in back who prepped me for surgery. To the person who commented on not being able to wait in the waiting room 🤦‍♀️. COVID unfortunately has some lasting effects, and your ride cannot wait inside. That has absolutely nothing to do with the care you about to recieve and the low review is irrelevant. Good luck luck with your surgery if you end up needing the services of North Point, I promise you, you are in excellent hands! I can see why my doctor uses this surgery center!!
I don’t know how the surgery will go but feel very concerned for patient care because it turns out we are the third ones today to not have been told that the driver/significant other is NOT allowed to wait in their large mostly empty, lovely waiting room. But oh, I can go next door to see if Moyes Eye Center will permit me to wait there. Really? Like a little beggar? We drove an hour to get here and the wait will be around two hours. I told them even KU Hospital doesn’t treat patients this way. I said I’d review them negatively just for this problem alone, the worst I’ve seen and I’ve seen a great deal. The nurse who came out to explain their “social distancing” policy basically blamed the patient and was professionally quite nasty. So was I in return. Nurse, you get an F in my books. The new gal at the front desk, Kristina, was quite lovely. She earns an A+. These kinds of failures cause me to question quality in the surgery suite as well. It’s 30 degrees in KC today & windy w/ snow flurries. Thank goodness I always travel prepared for cold weather BUT, I don’t think I should have to sit in the parking lot, go shopping or to a restaurant for two hours when my beloved is having eye surgery. We wear masks for good reason and dining indoors is rather antithetical to that. I was told I could evaluate them after the procedure but heard another patron being told to pick their loved one up outside— So I decided to evaluate now rather than after being outdoors for two hours. Unbelievable! Shame on North Point Surgery Center! Go there if you want to be treated POORLY! Sent from my iPhone
