Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

I want everyone to know that this review that I am about to give is more than just me telling you what a good surgeon Dr.De Priest is, it's about who He and his staff are as human beings and as a team. I went in for my hand surgery less than 5 days after I buried my son who I had lost a due to complications from Afghanistan and do to the military, it was sudden and we had to make a decision to turn off life support. I'm just trying to give you a clear picture of what this doctor and his team did that is not just the medical professionalism but as human beings, they made sure that I did not have to worry about being taken care of that they were going to take care of me even after my surgery they went as far as helping me through the anxiety of being put out for my surgery to my heart aching of such devastation that changed my whole world, they listened to me Tell them my pain that was in my heart they went above and beyond to help me heal not just for my hands bul also my heart, I can't exactly say everything here but I can tell you, had it not if been for that group of professionals I probably would have lost my job and I would not be where I'm at with everything today, they stepped up to the plate when I needed somebody in my corner for many reasons, not once did Dave not give me their full undivided attention to the care of my surgery but also to my heart that was trying to understand and comprehend the loss that I had had and they allowed me time to heal physically mentally and spiritually I felt as if they were with me for my long haul of a ride that had just transpired in my life, as I mention before I can't even tell you everything in this review that they did for me and they didn't even know who I was as a person they did this because they truly do care I want them to know that I have not forgotten this it's been 5 years since all of this transpired and I think of them often and I cannot thank them enough so I'm writing this review now with hopes that they do see it soon knowing that I still appreciate every one of them and that I'm doing good and I'm going to be okay. God bless you all, sincere thank you from my heart, Donna Riemenschneider

I had reduction surgery in September, and although I was scared and extremely nervous, the staff kept me calm and reassured me I would be fine. My nurse gave me her personal number and was available and answered all my questions quickly. Dr. DePriest and his staff are truly amazing people. I am very pleased with the treatment I received and very pleased with the work that was done for me.
