Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

CystoscopyA thin camera passed through the urethra examines the bladder lining. Used to investigate blood in the urine, recurrent infections, or urinary difficulty. The procedure takes only a few minutes and is often done with numbing gel rather than sedation.Kidney Stone Treatment (Lithotripsy)Shock waves break a kidney stone into fragments small enough to pass in the urine. No incision is required. Passing the fragments over the following days can still be uncomfortable, and a temporary stent is sometimes placed to keep the ureter open.Transurethral ResectionTissue is removed through the urethra using a scope, with no external incision β€” most commonly to relieve urinary obstruction from an enlarged prostate, or to remove bladder tumors. A catheter typically stays in place briefly afterward.VasectomyCircumcisionProstate ProceduresA group of treatments addressing an enlarged prostate blocking urine flow, ranging from steam and implant techniques to tissue removal. Options differ meaningfully in recovery time and in their effect on sexual function β€” worth discussing specifically.
Hernia RepairTissue pushing through a weak spot in the abdominal wall is returned to place and the defect reinforced, usually with mesh. Hernias do not resolve on their own and gradually enlarge, so repair is typically recommended once symptoms appear.Gallbladder Removal (Cholecystectomy)The gallbladder is removed through several small incisions, most often because gallstones are causing pain after meals. Digestion continues normally without it, though some people find fatty foods harder to tolerate for a period afterward.AppendectomyThe inflamed appendix is removed, usually laparoscopically and usually urgently, since a ruptured appendix is considerably more dangerous than an intact one. Recovery from an uncomplicated case is typically a week or two.HemorrhoidectomySurgical removal of severe hemorrhoids that have not responded to banding or other office treatments. It is the most effective option and also the most uncomfortable β€” expect a recovery of a couple of weeks.Skin Lesion RemovalA concerning or bothersome growth is cut away, usually under local anesthesia, and typically sent for pathology to confirm whether it is benign. The visit is short and most people return to normal activity the same day.Laparoscopic ProceduresSurgery performed through several small incisions using a camera and long instruments rather than one large opening. Compared with open surgery this generally means less pain, smaller scars, and a faster return to normal activity.

The office staff was very helpful and friendly when I arrived… an hour early. Casey was very personal and gave me good insight to my PSA numbers. Praise God it had gone down. Also, office got my prescription ordered. Thank you for everything! Jim Christensen

I got in the same day I called. Saw Lilly. She is just top- notch. She explained everything in easily understandable language. Answered every question. Took her time. Did not make us feel rushed. If Lilly has a sibling...hire them.

The woman who administered this test was excellent in every way. I came in with high anxiety. The first thing she did was go over the procedure & answer any questions I might have. Each step of the way she explained what was going to happen next. I couldn't have had this test without her guidance along the way. She was very supportive and understanding. I have never had a procedure with such care & kindness. She made a not so enjoyable procedure tolerable. I will never forget her professionalism & ability to help me get past my fears.

I recently visited the clinic to have an Ultrasound performed on my kidneys to get an opinion about whether there were any changes that I should know about. I was pleased with the short wait time before the Ultrasound technician came out to take me back to the exam room after I was checked in. The technician was very Professional and performed the procedure expertly with no discomfort to me. Then for the second part of the exam one of the nurses took my vitals and asked me about whether I had any other things that I might be concerned about. Then I related some personal conditions that I wanted to be addressed. The nurses were very helpful in performing the job that was required. Then I saw Dr. Wiltfong and he gave me a diagnosis of my problem. He had a very kind bedside manner and was very good at making me feel at ease. It turned out that I had nothing to worry about with respect to my kidneys and he prescribed some medicine for my other concerns. Exam was over for this year and I scheduled another exam for next year. All-in-all it was a very positive experience and I am looking forward to seeing them again next year.

I really love this office. I have been a long time patient. Simone PA is AMAZING!!!! She really listen and cares about her patients and Dr Brandon Henslee preformed a surgery and I had to have a stay over the weekend, he stopped in each day to answer all questions and was very reassuring. Six weeks later I had a post op follow up and the results came in today, on a Sunday, he called to let me know I had an infection and he would call in medication. So appreciate the extra care and support I get from them on my road to recovery. Can not say enough about this wonderful office and about Simone and Dr Henslee LOVE THEM!
