The staff at Carson City Gastroenterology took great care of me. I did not worry one bit from the time I arrived to when I left. Each staff member was courteous, helpful and professional. I highly recommend them.

I am extremely frustrated with Carson GI. My son recently transfered from a pediatric GI in Reno to Carson GI as he turned 18. His pediatric GI was phenomenal!! He has ulcerative colitis and has been synptom free for the last 2 1/2 years. Since transferring to Carson GI, we cannot get them to follow through with his meds. He has been on humira but the insurance company denied their request and Carson Gi didn't contact us about the denial, submit an appeal or anything. This was denied back in July. We have been calling and always having to leave a message because we could get ahold of any person at Carson Gi. Just trying to get a status update as qe were not receivingmeds. Now we are in December, still no meds. My son is having extreme flare ups which is impacting his life and his job. We finally get ahold of a human, because we kept calling daily not because they returned any of our calls. They stated that his medication was denied and they submitted an appeal. This was denied again and we agreed to go with a biosimilar medication. It was denied on the 26th and still the GI has not submitted the request for the new medication. If is it not submitted today, we can't reach out to the Dr until next Monday ( 5 days out) because they are closed for the new year holiday. Once submitted it will still need to be shipped. It has been 5 months without meds. This is ridiculous.

We had a wonderful experience at Carson City Gastroenterology during my mother’s colonoscopy. The entire staff was kind, attentive, and made sure my mom felt comfortable and cared for every step of the way. Dr. Collins was amazing, he took the time to answer all of our questions, addressed any concerns we had, and was both professional and genuinely caring. We truly appreciated the compassion and reassurance shown to our family. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and professional staff. Had colonoscopy Nov 2025. As I'm waiting for the procedure, I can hear how respectful the staff is to patients and to each other. Every person I interacted with, nurse, attendant, Jimmy the anesthesiologist, and Dr Collins were kind, attentive and professional. I immediately received preliminary results with pictures as I'm in recovery. Then additional follow up the next day. I'd like to give more stars, and thanks to Carson City Gastro. Highly recommend!

I went in for a colonoscopy. Everyone was very nice. I don't remember any of the procedure( which let's face it nobody really want to) then woke up and felt fine. Everyone from the receptionist who signed me on in to the nurse that wheeled me out were cheerful and professional. I couldn't be happier with how it went.
