Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Getting a procedure done is always a little scary, but the staff were so kind and made me feel really at ease. Rich was especially amazing. He stayed with me the whole time, talked me through everything as it was happening, and made sure I was comfortable the entire way through. I really appreciated how supportive and calming he was!

This place is Absolutely wonderful, they worked to accommodate me and my service dog by scheduling my procedure as the last paitent of the day, so I could have my girl waiting for me in the waiting room. They were kind, caring and so helpful, I am actually going back there again and would recommend it to Amy person who is having a procedure. Them are a solid 10!!!

Truly the best!!! From checking in, to the kind nurses and the Anesthesiologists Dr. Art made me so comfortable. I had a mini break down and he talked to me, assured me that everything is going to be ok and still cracked a joke. Didn’t get to see Dr. Littman much but I understand. When I do, she too is nice. Overall my experience with this clinic was amazing. I’m glad I came to Dr. Littman for help!!
