For 6 days I have tried to call to make an appt. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE IN THIS OFFICE! My bloodwork showed some abnormalities and I want to make an appt to speak to my dtr but I cannot get through. I called the other Sparta office to see if they could help me. They tried to call and they could not get thru. The phone just kept on ringing. They assured me they would keep trying and leave a message for the office mgr. Today at 3 pm I tried calling again. The phone kept ringing. I then called the other Sparta office and ask to speak to the manager Amanda. She said there was nothing she could do. They had a new computer system and there have been problems but she would try calling again and leave a message. About ten mins later I received a call from one of the reception staff. She works the front desk and honestly is rude. She cut me off when I started to tell her my story. I then asked to speak to the office manager Pauline. She explained they have a new computer system And the front desk can’t keep up with the calls. She made the appt for me. I will be reevaluating whether or not I will remain with this office and follow it up with a formal letter. I suggested to Pauline that they should have reached out to their patients before hand to inform Them that the office made this switch on a new system so we the patients would have known what was happening. The other option would be to have an established message informing patients when they call that they might have to hold on for sometime bc of the system changes. You should not have to go to an office in person just to make an appt.
The people who work here are generally very kind and professional. My issue is with Atlantic Health System which recently took over Premier Health. Apparently, they have a policy that a patient has to physically come into the office anytime a prescription needs to be refilled. This is not a policy that they MUST have, but it’s easy to understand why they would want the extra money. SO, if I am expected to come in for an appointment 4 times a year for a non narcotic prescription to be refilled , then I STRONGLY feel that the practitioner with whom I am meeting for the “medicine check” needs to be ON TIME.
I had an appointment scheduled for three weeks to discuss some recent tests I had done by my cardiologist. My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Bollard. I find out after the nurse takes me in that I’m not seeing Dr. Bollard, I’m seeing someone else I have no history with and doesn’t even know me. I had things I wanted to discuss with my own primary and was not comfortable discussing with another doctor I never was seen by. Upon my leaving, I stopped at the desk on my way out and asked why I wasn’t I given the option to reschedule for another time Dr. Bollard could take me. He had a change in his schedule and they just changed doctors on me with not notifying me. The reason I received amazes me. Their phone computer system is unable to dial all numbers so the system did try to call me to let me know, but there are some numbers it can’t get through to. What happened to the old fashion way of picking up the phone and calling? What if this had been an emergency? What doctor’s office allows this? This has no reflection on Dr. Bollard. I think he’s a great doctor. This is not the first time I had problems with the front office staff and I’ve been a patient for well over 20 years. This excuse is unacceptable.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it's necessary to share my recent experience with the front desk at this doctor's office. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Yvette, who answers the phone. She was consistently rude and unhelpful. I called four times trying to get a simple issue resolved, and each time I was met with attitude and resistance. It wasn’t until I firmly pressed the issue that anything was done — and even then, it only got handled when someone else finally picked up and helped me properly. If this is the first point of contact for patients, it leaves a really poor impression of the office. I hope management addresses this, because no one should have to fight this hard just to get basic assistance.
I have been a patient here for roughly over 5 years and I love it. The nurse practitioner , my primary Dr bollard and Dr casella are outstanding . Dr Casella saved my life I called him at the office as I was laying on the gym floor in pain and we spoke about the pain in my stomach and where it was and how it felt and bc of him I was able to get to the hospital in time before my appendix blew. The nurse practitioner is equally amazing. Very thorough. Dr bollard As well as very thorough very personable they’re just also amazing. I couldn’t say enough.. The girls in the front that do the scheduling I really like Cynthia she always goes above and beyond to help out, especially when I was having issues at the pharmacy trying to locate my medication Because certain pharmacies didn’t have it in stock
