Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

I can’t believe this place is still in business. I scheduled an appointment for a cataract surgery a few weeks ago and the day of the surgery due to an emergency they had to cancel my appointment so I lost took a day off of work for nothing. Fast forward a week later we reschedule another appointment took a day off of work again in the morning of the surgery they canceled again due to an emergency so I lost two days of work for absolutely nothing definitely do not recommend this place.

My Mom had her Cataract Surgery with Dr Grayson here and all the Staff from the first point at check in to the last Nurse in recovery room are above and Beyond amazingly kind, efficient and professional. Hats off to Nurse Angie, her caring and loving personality made our visit extra special . Thank you

Horrible time management! Had a 4:00 appointment. Received a phone call saying there were cancelations so come in early. Got there by 2:00 and wasn't taken till 5:15...to be brought to another waiting room! Did not get out till 6:35! No considerations for healthy, much less disabled, patients! Supposedly a great doctor, but has no consideration for his patients! Waiting room was cold and no one could lower the A/C. Wish I could have given no stars.

Yes, it’s super cold in this place. Wear a hoodie or sweat shirt. I was freezing! Other than that this place is wonder!! Dr. Rosenberg has been our family doctor for years. He is the absolute best! I had cateract surgery. I opted for the laser, which was $1500 out of pocket, but I was fine with that. That’s why you should have an HSA and sock away money into it! Everyone was super nice, supportive and kind. They offer a driver service for $40 round trip. Place was super clean, organized and well staffed. I did have an hour wait, but I was ok with that.

The receptionist at the front desk was very professional. The nursing staff was caring and explained everything that was happening. They took great care of me. Dr Kallina did a great job as she always does. Very pleased with the service.
