Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Dr. Dimarino is fantastic. His bedside manner is impeccable and you can feel that he really cares for his patients. All of the staff here are kind and professional and put you at ease during what can be an awkward experience.

Horrible, absolutely Horrible. My Wife has been going there for over a year. They have did absolutely nothing to correct her problems. The staff is angry if and when we get through to them. They never answer or get back right away. To make an appointment is like forever. I do not recommend this place at all. 0 stars. We have to move on to someone else professional.

Have been trying to get in to see the doctor since November 2025 and have had 3 appointments rescheduled because of errors on their side. This is the sloppiest front office I have ever encountered and they are extremely rude as well. All these mistakes on their end then I can to rectify and was met with passive aggressive attitudes by their “supervisor” and scheduling staff when everything that happened was their mistake. I decided to find a different doctor I highly suggest you save yourself some time and energy and do the same!

Very professional office and staff. Great communication. Dr. Malliah was extremely attentive, curious, and interested in my needs. Tough to get through on the phone but they do call back or text quickly, and Dr. Malliah is extremely responsive (within hours!) via the Patient Portal. I drive an hour to this office, and it's worth it.
