I had Upper Endoscopy with Anesthesia in may. my insurance company was UHC. The procedure was painless. They requires a doctors apointment before the exam and one after the exame even if nothing was wrong. UHC paid most of the expense. However, they sent the tissues to Genesis Laboratory for biopsy. Genesis sent a separate claim of $1755. Because it is out of the network (even though this clinic is in the network), I ended up paying $316 to Genesis. Check with your insurance provider to see if Genesis is in the network before you make appointment.
