***female staff** I am a young male. I went for my stent removal. All the nurses in the room were female. I had previously requested for male staff, but there wasn't any. I am a modest man, and I don't like being naked in front of female nurses, let alone allowing them maneuvering my genitals. So they didn't ask for my permission to undrape me. They just pulled the sheets up and held my penis and started applying pyodine over it. That ws so unethical and It was beyond embarrassing to watch all of this. They did everything , applied lidocaine , sterilized my scrotum etc. My uneasiness was at its peak, I was wishing to ask them to stop and leave, but i felt I am stuck here in the room the three females nurses only, watching me naked and manuvering my genitals. In another hosital, I tried to cover my butt, the female nurse responded, u dont have to, we see male butts all the time.. i mean what kind of response is that. I request urological clinics, to have the option of male staff , for the day care procedures at least, when the patient is fully awake and naked. because all the genital preparing stuff is done by nursing staff. I won't visit this clinic again or any other clinic where there is female nursing staff.

I felt extremely uncomfortable not even having the option to be seen by a male for urological procedures that involved a young woman holding my private area for 10-15 minutes while the UroJet/Lidocaine gel does its thing. While another one watched. That would not fly for an OB/GYN. She dragged in a nurse who just stood in the room and stared - without asking - and just assumed it was fine with me, which it very much was not. I did complain, months ago, and all I wanted to see change was for patients to be informed that they would be dealing with multiple non-MD staff for any and all procedures. It’s right in the patient bill of rights for the facility that patients should be informed of all staff that will be participating in their care. Despite this, there is still no policy posted anywhere indicating that someone will be just standing there watching, which is creepy beyond words. Update - Received a $1,700 bill for a procedure which took 15 minutes and 1 syringe full of 4% lidocaine gel. On top of the $400 bill from the doctor's office.

Very professional staff, from the reception desk, to RN Brook & tech Hanna! Very clean, proper care of a 'sterile field'. Highly suggested & highly rated from a retired RN who had a procedure there!

Recently had surgery here. The entire suite is newly remodeled, from the reception area to the surgical suites. All of the staff is very efficient and kind. The nurses and surgical teams especially are efficient, professional, describe everything, and are also fun to chat with. A+ institution.
