This clinic is not a good one to go when you had your hand broken they tell you that you have to rest more even though you are good from your hand already. My friend went their and had to stay up to 3 month for his hand even though he was doing really good with his hand and the day he had to take it out the clinic was closed and it said it opened at 8 am and closes at 5 pm and it was already 10 am and the clinic was closed why would you give somebody an appointment to go for nothing because is closed don't recommend this clinic at all he had to waste a lot of money for nothing and waist his time to go to work again
Dr. Dagly receives 5 stars for the care I received from him Saturday night (5/10/25, in the ED Department at Huntington Hospital) for a dislocated finger. His expertise, care and demeanor was much appreciated! In 1997 I received wonderful care for a broken finger (same hand - ugh!) from Dr. Hochwald....he gets 5 stars as well! My advice is to be careful in the kitchen! Don't run for a phone while wearing socks and make sure the step stool used is place in its proper position!
Absolute worst Doctors office I have ever been too. My son broke his hand at a lacrosse tournament. It needed it to be reset. They were the first ones available. They told me they were not on our insurance. But that we could just get the insurance information from the tournament directors and it would be covered. Well guess what. Getting the insurance information from the tournament directors was impossible. The Doctors office was no help at all trying to get the insurance info as well. So they sent my $1200 dollar bill to collections. I just got a wage garnishment letter and now have a judgment against the title of my house. This is preventing me from getting a home equity loan. If I could give zero start I would. Stay away at all costs.
I was in a terrible car accident at the end of December of last year. Some guy going at least 70 mph in a residential neighborhood hit me. It was a very traumatic accident and it has affected me deeply. Aside from psychological trauma, I also broke my wrist, badly! In Dr. Dagly's words (or something to this effect) when he first looked over my hospital x-rays that were taken the day of the accident, "The pieces of the bone traveled to different zip codes." And my favorite, "I'm surprised the bone didn't cut through your skin." Yeah, it was bad. The reason why I'm including so much detail is because you must know just how difficult this was for me in order to understand just how impactful my experience with Long Island Hand To Shoulder Center had been. If you're in need of surgery anywhere from your hand to your shoulder, you'll want your surgeon to be Dr. Dagly. Not only is he brilliant at what he does but he is also so kind & warm. I was kinda nervous the day of the surgery to have a plate & screws implanted in my wrist; I'd never had anything foreign implanted in my body before! But Dr. Dagly put me at such ease. And of course, the surgery went great! Then came my physical therapy. I was not so keen on moving my wrist while metal was inside it; it just gave me the heebie-jeebies, lol. But with the help of two stellar therapists, Sue & Larry, I got over that pretty quickly! For the next seven-eight months, I worked hard at strengthening my wrist & getting better range of motion. But there's no way I could have done it without Sue & Larry's help & expertise. They really pushed me to help myself and they did it in such a caring way. Not to mention, the therapeutic massages, TOTAL BLISS! What I found so particular about these two people is that they truly care, very much so, about you and your healing journey. I felt a wonderful connection with them and I had always looked forward to PT, even when it had hurt a little at the beginning. You don't get that kind of concern & attention with a lot of therapists. I'm not gonna lie, it was hard to say good-bye. And last but not at all least, the lovely women up front. So kind, so helpful in making and canceling appointments. It's very important, in my opinion, to have people at the front desk who truly wanna help accommodate you as best as they can. I always felt "the love" whenever I'd enter the building from these great women, especially Dawn. She always went above & beyond for me and always with cheer in her voice or simply a warm smile. Erin was also super helpful & kind. After going through what I went through in that car crash, having the help, the support, and the endearment from these people made all the difference. It truly did.
I, recently had an emergency when I, suffered a deep cut in my hand and lacerated a tendon. Obviously, I was extremely nervous and uptight about the situation. Fortunately for me, Dr Kamal Dagly arranged to see me within hours and attended to my hand. His caring, concern, expertise, and professionalism was incredible. Dr Dagly, along with each and every member of his staff were also as attentive and caring. He did the emergency surgery and now my hand is as good as ever. I can’t thank Dr. Dagly and his team enough! Joe Kaufman
