Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

I went today for surgery with Dr Wladis. He is friendly, professional and amazing. The whole staff here was great. The nurses were friendly made me feel at ease and caring. In the operating rroom everyone was great. One guy stood out to me and I did not get his name. As they were getting me out off the chair (which was laid flat and moved like a recliner ) I grabbed the arm of the chair and this gentleman reached for my hand and said “I got you. I won’t let you fall”. Amazing facility and staff. This is the place to go.

I had Cataract Surgery done in April. Appointment was made far enough ahead of time. Got all my paper work filled out a also got a Call from the Eye Surgery Center. All set up for the Day of Surgery. Showed up and was taken in on a timely matter. Treated like a Human in a very Excellent Manner. Everything was explained to me and that was very important to me. I was in and out in about 2hours. I Highly recommend this Eye Surgery Center as They are the Best in the area.

My elderly mother had her second procedure last week and she can not express enough gratitude about this facility. I work in the human services industry and I don’t know what training they offer here but they need to patent it. I was not allowed inside with my mother at her last visit. That made her anxious, she wanted to cancel but once inside you could feel these people love their jobs. I left hoping the atmosphere would remain the same but not confident. Without family the elderly are left subjected to neglect on occasions. My mother came out of the facility 6 weeks ago and couldn’t say enough good things. When I was allowed in this visit, I was thrilled to observe first hand. From the front receptionist Katie exhibiting the utmost patience and compassion. The elderly are not quick by any means. She cleaned up the entire bathroom for my mom after I mentioned someone got some on the seat. The PCT was one of the friendliest people I ever met. My mom popped up like a Jack in the box to see Mel again. I found myself smiling when she walked away. I smiled when my mom was being taken into surgery. That is what this facility does for families. The peace of mind knowing my mother was taken care of was priceless. I did not feel the need to stay. I knew she was safe and that is more than I ever experienced prior. Keep up the amazing work. I can not recommend your facility enough!!!! They also give you a surgery to fill out but the world needed to know. Not just my mothers surgeon!!! ❤️❤️❤️ to all.
