Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Great customer service. My nurse called me several weeks before my colonoscopy. He ask all the questions and made sure I didn't take any medications or vitamins that would cause an issue. I got my prescription which you can also get over the counter and save some money. Checking in was easy. My nurse was really nice. He let my husband in to wait before I was wheeled back. Doctor Clements was nice asked a few questions. I was asleep right afterwards. My husband was able wait with me till I was clear to go home. See you in 10 years.

Beware, although your Doctor may be be in network this facility for the procedure may not be. I was told that my procedure was covered only to receive a bill from Langtree Endoscopy Center and learned that my surgeon was in network but the facility was out of network. I've been a patient of my surgeon for over 10 years but will not be returning. Patients should be made aware that this facility is out of network before scheduling a procedure.

Recently had a colonoscopy and endoscopy at the center. The staff was great. I had never had anesthesia and they made sure my experience was the best it could be. Dr Clements and his staff are great and made these necessary procedures as pleasant as possible. The facility is first class and super clean. I highly recommend Dr Clements and his staff especially Yvonne who made me feel very at ease during the whole process . Great job guys.

Excellent staff and conveniant location. Dr. Clements and staff are very helpful, knowledgeable. The building is clean and conveniant to have Dr. Clements office and surgery center in the same building. The staff follow through and go out of their way to make sure you are educated about your procedure and comfortable. They follow through the next day after the procedure to make sure you are in good care. I highly recommend Langtree Endoscopy.
