Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

Could not have had an easier experience. The nurses, anesthesiologist John, and Dr Gallagher were all a pleasure to work with. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Everyone makes you feel incredibly at ease and comfortable especially for what many would consider an uncomfortable procedure. I am so grateful to have had such a compassionate team working on me.

This place is an absolute joke. The whole staff is completely unprofessional and incompetent.

I was literally on my way to the surgery center when they called me to tell my my anesthesia for my procedure had not been approved. I called my insurance promptly who had a different story, which was that the doctor’s office failed to submit the necessary paperwork and that the order was cancelled. Unfortunately, I am the only one who deals with the consequences of everyone doing their jobs improperly, because I can’t get the anesthesia now without risking receiving a fat bill in the mail - because it’s a he-said, she-said, all at the detriment of the patient. Either way, I’m now a bundle of anxiety and frustration going into my procedure, where it should have been a simple and easy experience. I will not be coming back to this facility because frankly I don’t trust them to take care of my needs as a patient. Oh, and the receptionist tried to tell me it could be worse because “some insurance denies everything.” That’s an insult to my intelligence.

I recently had a procedure here. Dr. Mansour was amazing and left me feeling well cared for. A big shout out to the team at this facility! From the receptionist to the discharge nurse, all were EXTREMELY nice and let me know what to expect each step of the way. Thank you !

The doctor was extremely rude to me. Before my procedure I asked her if she knew why I was there. She said no and only tell her what she needed to know. I have been in pain for 6 mths going to several doctors trying solve this. She should read my chart to know why I am there and know what to look for. They also wanted money up front which now I have to get back because my insurance also paid. They have not been responsive with me now that they owe me $500 back.
