ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Dr. ISFORT is very communicative and explains everything very well. He doesn’t rush to get you out of there. My nurse was Sierra and I was very impressed with her. She was very compassionate and took great care of me. The facility was very clean and organized. The staff was very easy to set this appointment up with. I like that they gave me a choice of what kind of prep I wanted to use. Can’t say enough good about this practice!
