We've been charged twice for the same appointment we are senior citizens on ss only and we can not afford to pay 170.00 twice for same appointment. We've been trying to get this resolved since may2024.the office manager was no help as was the receptionist. I just wonder how many other older patients they've done this to!

⚠️The aftercare from this office is absolutely terrible. After going to a couple of eye doctors for opinions, I found out in 2021 that I have an eye disease called Keratoconus. It isn't common and glasses cannot correct the disease. It's to the point my right eye is completely blurry now. I didn't want to drive to Columbus for the rest of my life for a problem I never asked for, especially being for the eye. As this office is local and could help me get the specialized contacts I need, I decided to switch my care from OSU. I was treated kindly by staff and Dr. Finn during my appointment in Mid November 2022. I was reassured the process would be started and informed of the prior authorization for these contacts, through the insurance. After about a month, I called the office and the Dr himself returned my message saying the person was out sick, but that she was working on it. After waiting more time, I took the time to call the insurance myself, to see if they would be approved if medically necessary and they are. Since that time, I have called multiple times, left messages and went in person to see what was happening. I even scheduled an appointment because my eyesight felt worse and was tired of being in pain. I was again reassured by the Dr. he would be looking into it and give me a call back, but that still hasn't happened. I was even made aware of the fact that the person in charge and Dr were aware of these attempts at communication, but never bothered responding. I guess I don't have much choice in the matter but to return to OSU, since I'm not receiving the appropriate care I need at this office. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly by a Dr's office. Vision doesn't seem to be a major concern here.

The practice is over worked and most likely underpaid. I dreaded trying to get contact prescriptions from them. Billing was screwed up and trying to communicate in person (to avoid playing phone tag) was inconvenient with the long wait times and frustrations.

I have been going to Advanced Eye Care for many years. I have always been treated respectfully and nicely by the staff and Dr. Ballitch himself. He always takes his time with you and answers all my questions. I trust him completely to do my eye surgery.

Would give 0 stars if possible. ABSOLUTELY Horrible follow up after the appointment. First visit was two months ago and office manager said it would be just a few days and would let us know this status of a prior authorization. We gave it one month of silence. When we called back in (several times), we got no return calls. When we finally talked to the office manager she blamed someone else although I know she got the messages because the girls at the front told us so and apologized. This office is DISORGANIZED and need a capable manager. She has lied and lied even telling my husband she never talked to me. I talked with her just 2 weeks ago and she apologized for dropping the ball and said she would get the pre-auth done and call me back the first of the following week. Crickets. Very unfortunate because the Doctor seemed like a very nice man. Think twice before choosing this office for your care unless you want to deal with headache after headache and enjoy being lied to many times. They need a new office manger but unfortunately she is the doctors wife.
