North Coast endoscopy would not give us a price for services, despite trying about a half dozen times for a month prior to the procedure. Then on the day of the procedure we had to "prepay" $800. As it turns out after insurance settlement they owe us nearly $600 back. But of course they hide behind voicemail and unreturned calls still 6 weeks after insurance settlement and no refund. Of course they also don't have a published email to obtain a paper record of dealing with them. We've contacted them at least half dozen times seeking the refund of overpayment. These people are unethical clowns. Go elsewhere.

I had a colonoscopy Wednesday, the nursing staff was kind and helpful and at discharge told me to call with any questions or concerns. The following day I had severe lower abdomen pain, chills, and low fever. I called the office to let them know this. The nurse called me for routine follow up call not return of my initial call and advised me those symptoms were normal. The pain continued and it was difficult to function. I called 2 more additional times with no response. Then I called overnight answering service to say severe pain is still present and I couldn’t sleep. I then called to verify they received message and I was told they did and someone would call me back. I called two additional times and left messages with receptionist and after hours answering service and no reply. I am now headed to the er because severe abdominal pain for 48 hours is not normal and I am concerned about multiple things, I also contact a nursing service through my insurance and as I knew they would, they advised me to go to er immediately. How can you not touch base with such a concern after a procedure you did? Even if they would have called to advise me to go to the er, that would have been a one minute call from a nurse.

Update 05/15/2021 - This should finally be behind me. Collections has been reconciled and this is off my credit report. Finally resolved. Change the review to 3 stars. Update 3/6/2021- NCE was good enough to call me a few days ago and let me know I dont owe the 660 dollars that was turned over to collections. However the collections agency now says I owe 395 dollars as its attached to my credit report. I am hoping this nightmare ends soon. Well the saga continues. 01/15/2021. It's been well over a year I am still dealing with incorrect billing and being turned over to collections even though it was resolved. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Clearly one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a medical facility. If you like billing issues then North Coast Endoscopy is the facility for you. 11/2020 - I am updating my review again. After working and spending countless hours to correct the billing issue which I was told were corrected, they have again applied collections to my credit report for which I am not responsible. I have likely spent more than 40 hours calling, sending documents. I am changing my review to 1 star only because zero is not an option !! I am updating this review as the billing issues are now resolved. Resolution took only a few days. I am hoping resolution wont take as long and communications are quicker. Procedure went well but billing is a nightmare. My insurance has paid for the services but the doctor billed me more anyway. After multiple phone calls and providing the appropriate documentation they turned it into collections anyway. I've spent countless hours and provided all of the documentation. Dont go here unless you wanted to be overbilled and aggravated.

I am a VN vet who developed severe pain in my abdomen. The Veterans Administration setup an appointment with this office in lieu of waiting for an opening at the Louis Stokes VAMC. I was originally scheduled for 3 weeks from the date of my referral. When they heard of my discomfort they were able to move me up to less than a week. I had both a colonoscopy and an EGD and it was painless. Like most offices now Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and office staff do much of the admin work. The physician was there for my history and physical and he was present before, during and after the procedures. He gave me a post procedure review of what he found and forwarded the results to the VAMC. My wife was impressed with his manners and thoroughness and is going to schedule a procedure with him this summer.

Horrible! In October I had a routine colonoscopy and at the same time had an endoscopy for some swallowing issues. The procedure lasted literally 15 minutes and the entire appointment was an hour and a half. My bill total came to $8,385.00, most of which was paid by my insurance. There are 4 facility charges that total $4,500! Are you kidding me! The funny thing you notice are signs all over the facility that say not to discuss your bill with the doctor, and now I know why. Even the follow-up visit is with an assistant so I never even met the doctor to discuss. This guy's a rip-off and probably milks everyone, especially the elderly on Medicare. I called about my bill and was told she would check into it and I never had a return call from her. I'm taking my "inside business" elsewhere!
