I was referred to GSI for my first colonoscopy. This place is a well oiled machine! I arrived at 10:15AM, 45 minutes prior to my appointment time at (per their instructions) and I thought I would be waiting hours. Not at all! I didn't even get to sit down for 5 minutes! Their lobby was pretty busy and they called me back. I was led to a recovery room where they asked a slew of questions about medical history and at the same time getting the IV needle inserted. The left for me to change into the gown and then a staff member came in to wheel me off to the operating room. As soon as I was in the room, the anesthesiologist hooked me up and all I remember was waking up in the recovery room, looking over at the computer screen to see the time was 11:12AM. I heard staff call my wife and told her to pick me up from the west exit. They had a wheelchair for me and wheeled me out to my car. Everyone there was very professional, good atmosphere.
I have seen Dr. Fillmore with GSI for three different issues over the last 6 years, and have always been happy with the interaction. As my husband states, he seems to actually give a @@@@. From the scheduler, to the desk, nurses, and doctors, everyone is upbeat and helpful.
Called to set an appointment for a Colonoscopy with Dr. Fillmore. The experience was very different versus five years ago when he was at another location. Not sure if he was with GSI then. This time the person answering the phone was impatient, rude, and unprofessional. Very poor experience as compared to five years ago when I contacted Dr. Fillmore's office. I contacted GSI to comment about this and no response.
I have never experienced such a kind, caring, knowledgeable staff than at GSI! From checking in at the front desk to seeing the doctor and then getting my instructions for an upcoming procedure, everyone I spoke to was the best! I seen Sarah Jameson that day, and the fact that she actually listened to what my issues were and then set a confident plan of action, I feel extremely safe in the hands of everyone there! I’m a little nervous about the procedure, but I know I’m in the best hands possible! Thank you all so much for everything you do!
It's certainly hard to review a doctor's performance but we can still relate our experience here. My wife had a colonoscopy yesterday by Dr. Bigler. Her procedure was scheduled for 9:00 a.m but we were to be there at 8:45. We were on time and barely had time to sit down before they called her in. They have a neat monitor in the waiting room which gives the status of each patient. The staff told me that, when my wife's status was marked as "in recovery", I could go back to see her. Sure enough, in a very short period of time, she was flagged and I went back. By having the monitor available, you know exactly what is going on. Every person we came in contact with at GSI, from the front desk people to the doctor to the orderly who brought her out in the wheelchair, was friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend them
