12/16/25 I’m sitting in a recliner in my home writing this review just 12 hours after entering the Union Pines Surgery Center. I’ve known my surgeon, Dr Jabbour, for years when I worked at St John’s as the Orthopedic Supervisor in surgery. To my amazement one of my Scrub Techs was assisting Dr Jabbour today with my Total Knee Replacement. The Anesthesiologist, CRNA, Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and support staff were all top notch. They made me as comfortable as I could be considering the surgery I just had. Leona was my RN post op & was there in the extended care area after they shut the Recovery Room down. She went above & beyond. She was kind, compassionate, & even attended to my wife’s needs while she sat with me in Recovery. Deana was my Nurse Assistant & she as well went above & beyond to care for my needs & my wife’s while in Recovery & the Extended Care Facility. They make you feel like family. As a RN I always strived to provide medical excellence with compassionate care in my practice with my patients and the staff under my supervision. Thank you to everyone that took care of me & my wife from admission, pre-op, surgery, PT, recovery, to the extended care staff. Union Pines Surgery Center is blessed to have such wonderful people working there.

Had a total knee replacement today and had the best crew ever! LaRena, Deanna, Kyle, Heidi, and Dr Marcy Clements. LaRena and Deanna took care of me from recovery and until I left to come home. I could not have asked for better folks to take care of me. From start to finish, a great experience. Thank you LaRena, Deanna, Kyle, Heidi, and Dr Clements♥️

I recently underwent a total hip replacement at Union Pines. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. This includes the check-in clerk, the anesthesiologist team, the recovery nurse, the therapist, not just the surgeon and surgical team. They took care of every need. Even those I didn’t know I had. My recovery nurse was especially amazing. She was so positive and educated me and my family on what to do and what to expect once I got home. I HIGHLY recommend Union Pines Surgery Center.

So far...Experience from step 1 08/05/2025 We were required to arrive at 5:45 a.m. My wife's name was called, yet we saw no one. We had to assume it was coming from a check-in rm. We learned that the sound came from check-in room #3. In check-in Rm #3 was a young lady The young lady seemingly had no personality. She said she had texted my wife (yet my wife did not have her phone on her hip, as many young people seem to have their phones surgically placed on their hip). She asked my wife to sign the electronic pad on various pages yet offered no instruction on how to sign. My wife commented that the pad didn't work well with her finger. The young lady told her that it was the only way to sign it, that a stylus doesn't work (she did not need to "argue" about it; perhaps an apology added would be nice). The young lady turned around 2 important documents for her to sign, yet did not offer a pen from the pen holder on the desk. My wife isn't really mobile pre-surgery, so I had to reach over to get her a pen. My wife is in the back now, being prepped for surgery. The nurse who took her back seemed polite and nice. We shall see how the rest goes. With such a sour start with little to no experience of an employee understanding empathy or customer service, I have my apprehension. I don't plan to use this place again. Live and learn, I suppose.

I had shoulder surgery there this morning. And cannot say enough good things about the nursing staff. They were right there with me step by step meeting any needs and questions I had start to finish. Highly recommend this facility!!! I had allergic reaction to a med I've had in past but they caught and corrected the issue very promptly. Made sure my family and I were both comforted and informed. My surgery began promptly on time and I was home within 4.5 and I live over an hour away. And when I had questions hours after returning home I was responded to very quickly by the center and my surgeon Dr. Bazih. He's an awesome thorough surgeon whom I also recommend!!! Can't say enough good things!
