Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I needed to have a procedure done on my back. They were quite nice and the procedure was done in a short time.

Dr. Wallace runs an exceptional operation here. Went in for a cervical injection today and was a bit anxious about the procedure, but he and his staff put me at ease every step of the way. RN Evan called a few days beforehand and was awesome - very personable, respectful, and patiently addressed all of my questions and concerns. After I arrived, the process moved along like a well-oiled machine. The staff was very friendly and made me feel super comfortable. The procedure itself was buttery smooth and impressive to witness. Dr Wallace himself is also very personable, competent, and just a pleasure to be around. RN Megan was excellent and articulated the post-procedure notes very well, and made certain I was OK to leave and understood my responsibilities thereafter. Truly could not ask for more from Dr Wallace and his team. I would not hesitate to place my trust in them in the future.
